Matt White, former DS of Orica Greenedge who was stood down after being named in the ASADA report on Cheatstrong has been given a backdated 6month ban, therefore, now allowing him to come back into the sport. Orica Greenedge are waiting for the completion of the Vance review, which is a review done by a former anti doping expert in terms of the teams position on doping. They will make a decision after the review is completed as to whether they take him on again.
I really do hope they give him a chance. Even though he doped, he has stated before that he was pretty much forced by Armstrong's brigade of teammates. Either take it can be caught, or dope and keep your contract. He did brilliant things last year with the team, and his enthusiasm will be great to see again on Backstage Pass. Though, completely understand if the team don't bring him back, or only reinstate him in a lesser position. |

Pieter Vanspeybrouck (Topsport) is banned for 3 months for using Fenoterol. It`s backdated and he can continue riding in June.
Vuelta wildcards go to NetApp, Cofidis and Caja Rural. Nice to see NetApp there as they performed well in last years GT and I had hoped to see them in one GT also this year. |

Cant agree more, i was hoping for this wildcard, to see Konig, Barta and others in GT. Barta can try another epic long range attack like last years Giro stage.

Not unimportant, it was taken by mistake. Topsport Vlaanderen is real clear about doping. The commission also acknowledged this fact and says he didn't take it to enhance his performances. The team doctor immediately acknowledged his mistake, too. Something to do with a puffer or something.
So that's why the punishment is "light" and he can start at 31th of May. |

Noooo not Vanspeybrouck! I really, really want to like the guy (okay, mostly because of my ManGame team but you know...) and don't want TopSport to be doping at all. So I hope that it truly was taken by accident.

Sounds like excuses... Contador ate a steak, Lance had saddle stores, Vanspeybrouck took a puffer...

Totally different situation. No offence, you know nothing about it.
If one team on the world is doping-free, it's topsport vlaanderen. |

That's a pretty big statement to make. Any arguments to back that hypothesis up with?

That's not the reason. Don't believe in OMQS
Topsport Vlaanderen is always first to let their riders sign contracts about doping, always clearly against doping and they barely make results with talented riders = riders without doping. |

Don't always believe if they sign a contract (as Sky do...)

First team ever to let their riders sign an anti-doping charter.

And Katusha used to do as well, don't know if they still do.
