Indeed a nice win for Purito. It made me happy when I saw that he won, since I think he really deserves a GT victory.
@ sutty / Ian - It's on the first page, under calendar.
@ aidan - Here he is:
Big improvement in all areas since the start of the season. More or less as allround as you can get now, and obviously one of the best riders in the CT.
1.HC: GP de Fourmies
Lots of points up for grabs as we once again enter HC territory. The race terrain wont be very different to what we're used to however, as the race is more or less pan flat. It's obviously all about the sprinters!
Evaldas will take the captain's role for one of the last times this year, as his season more or less ends in the next couple of days. Here he's still our big hope though, and will be supported by the rest of the squad. And as you can see, we're starting to prepare the other squad group for taking over, with Giraud, Vaubourzeix, Cauquil and Tarride all building up form.
Veelers has been unstoppable in more or less all the flat races in the CT this year, so he's surely the biggest name here. It'll still be a very open race, as there are plenty of names with a good shot at the win. Petit and Van Hummel, just to name two of the, so far, more successful ones.
Cofidis, Landbouwkrediet and Accent.Jobs share the work throughout the day, maintaining a solid pace that prevents the day's early break from escaping too far away.
All attacks are shut down well before the finish, so it's just touch and go for the sprinters as the final lap begins. This is when we finally start to show ourselves a bit - forming a little train next to Landbouwkrediet and Cofidis.
Battling with Landbouwkrediet and Cofidis late in the race.
Jimmy Engoulvent tries to catch everyone off guard with an attack in the final two kilometers, but it's just not going to be for him. Skujins quickly leads Evaldas back up to the Frenchman, with Landbouwkrediet setting up Joeri Stallaert on the other side of the road.
Engoulvent is just going nowhere.
Evaldas kicks off while sweeping around the final bend inside the final kilometer, immediately challenged by Kevyn Ista, the previously mentioned Stallaert and an ominous-looking Adam Blythe.
Evaldas taking on the Belgians.
But surprisingly - it's Jempy Drucker who gets it on the line! Having followed Stallaert's acceleration, he makes his jump into an own line on the far right in the final few hundred meters to win the race rather clearly.
Drucker sneaks up to take the victory!
Steven Tronet and Adrien Petit both finish with very high speed, but Stallaert just about denies them both second place at the line. Evaldas couldn't quite match the best today and settles for fifth place.
1 | Jempy Drucker | Accent Jobs - Willems Veranda's | 4h51'14 | 2 | Joeri Stallaert | Landbouwkrediet - Euphony | s.t. | 3 | Steven Tronet | Auber 93 - BigMat | s.t. | 4 | Adrien Petit | Cofidis, le crédit en ligne | s.t. | 5 | Evaldas Siskevicius | La Pomme Marseille | s.t. | 6 | Timon Seubert | Team NetApp | s.t. | 7 | Kevyn Ista | Accent Jobs - Willems Veranda's | s.t. | 8 | Adam Blythe | BMC Racing Team | s.t. | 9 | Fabio Felline | Androni Giocattoli - Venezuela | s.t. | 10 | Maxime Le Montagner | Veranda Rideau - Super U | s.t. |

The result could have been so different judging by the closeness of the sprint |

Fifth isn't bad. He had better results this year but then again, he's had worse
He did a great job all around leading the team on several occasions, well done of him! |

Not a bad result. Could've easily been a win as well
I think van Rensburg's stats are pretty accurate if you look at how he rode this season.

Thanks all!
@ whitejersey - Well, he has zero results this year. Also, when you don't even try to perform well in more than one race per season, you're not a top class rider in my eyes.
@ ste_18 - I don't understand what you're asking for. What flag are you talking about?
1.1: Grand Prix d'Isbergues
I could just copy what I said when previewing Fourmies for this race as well. All the same, except for the fact that there are less points available this time. In other words, the sprinters will once again thrive.
For what I think will be the last time this year, Evaldas will take the big responsibility of leading the squad. The rest will do whatever necessary to back him up, and also keep charging up for upcoming races.
With the memory of top favourite Veelers failing completely in Fourmies still fresh in mind - this is a very open race. The first two other names that catches my eye are Tronet and Petit, who both came really close last time.
Auber, Landbouwkrediet and FDJ do all the work at the front of the main field for the entire day, but when the final kilometers finally arrive - we're the ones that take command. Unfortunately, Evaldas gets caught back in the field, while Koretzky, Paillot and Skujins hit the front.
Pushing on at the front late in the race.
We soon notice a small gap opening up behind them. A decision is made within a second, and Skujins drops back. At the same time, Koretzky jumps up on the pedals, dragging Paillot away from the peloton.
The gap reaches half a minute for a shorter period, but FDJ and Auber start reducing it very swiftly. It goes down to just over ten seconds when the sprint is launched. Evaldas has meanwhile found a good position; just behind the Auber train.
Paillot gets shut down by FDJ and Auber.
It's all back together with two kilometers left.
After a very long leadout, the sprint finally kicks off at the kilometer mark. Tronet waits a little longer than the others, and directly gets overtaken by Petit and Keough - while Evaldas is still waiting to make his jump.
A really close sprint finish!
Petit is by far the strongest in the end. The young Frenchman has a gear more than the others on the slight rise up to the line and wins by over two bikelengths over Matheou, who just about pips Keough for second place.
An easy victory for Petit!
Evaldas once again rounds out the top 5, beaten also by a second Veranda Rideau man - Jules. Still a fairly good result, considering that he tops several of the pre-race favourites. Great result from Skujins as well!
1 | Adrien Petit | Cofidis, le crédit en ligne | 4h47'59 | 2 | Romain Matheou | Veranda Rideau - Super U | s.t. | 3 | Jake Keough | UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team | s.t. | 4 | Justin Jules | Veranda Rideau - Super U | s.t. | 5 | Evaldas Siskevicius | La Pomme Marseille | s.t. | 6 | Jure Kocjan | Team Type 1 - Sanofi | s.t. | 7 | Joeri Stallaert | Landbouwkrediet - Euphony | s.t. | 8 | Danny Van Poppel | Rabobank Continental Team | s.t. | 9 | Steven Tronet | Auber 93 - BigMat | s.t. | 10 | Toms Skujins | La Pomme Marseille | s.t. |

A close sprint and for the team this was a good race with a top 5 and a top 10.
BTW I'm talking about the country flag of your PCM. |

Been catching up lately, that was a great Tour du Poitou Charentes and Midden-Nederland!
Considering you're playing on extreme, this is insane racing, and perfect season planning!
As I said earlier on this very page: I'm on hard, not on extreme.
It's always easy to achieve nice results in the last months of the season, as most of the AI riders have already raced too much - causing them to lose form. I do realize that we're quite dominant at the moment though, so it's very possible that I'll up the difficulty to extreme for 2013.
Oops
Well, still these are great results
(I know this reply is a little late )
