To be replaced or not? If so, who would be ready for such a late call-up? |

I guess one more wildcard team would be given spot. It's still big speculation.
I guess any French teams would love to have opporutnity for start in Tour, even with not best prep.

That would really suck, so many people punished for the shit a few others. I fully support to kick out Bruyneel, though.

I couldn't agree more.
Banning RadioShack for TDF wouldn't be fair.
Max they should do is exra doping tests on RadioShack riders, and I don't even think that's necessary. |

Yeah, I wonder why would they exclude the team whose manager has been accused of systematic doping. I really can't get why.

By your logic Riccó should be able to ride the tour as long as he gets tested every day
Imo, if you join JB's team, you've taken the risk. I can't see them adding anything to the tour anyway.
Anyway, who should replace them? Colombia probably doesn't want to, Acqua&Sapone is Italian and TT1 is too weak. And I don't see them inviting Christina Watches either

No, Ricco couldn't ride it according to my logic.
It ain't the current riders accused of doping.
And I can see them adding to the tour, they could send a great team. |

That doesn´t make much sense. There are so many DS and other staff members with a doping history in so many teams that you could exclude almost all.
And Ian´s logic doesn´t mean Ricco or any other rider who is banned atm should be able to start. Only that riders with doping-releated persons close to them/doping history should be controlled more often.
Edit: Way too slow. And don´t forget Voigt, he´s a plus for every race he starts in.

How many of them have been formally accused of:
- Possesion of prohibited substances
- Trafficking of prohibited substances
- Administration of prohibited substances
- Assisting, encouraging, aiding and covering other's usage of prohibited substances
by an anti-doping agency?

No idea how 'trustable' it is, and it's Finnish, but I found this on google:

Thanks for the link luigi! Even though i don't understand Finnish i understand the numbers.
Likewise thanks very much, interesting read. You get the gist but Google Translate does a pretty good job on the finnish too.
Yeah. Based on the numbers it seems Hesjedal on average of all the climbs in the Giro had 405-410 watts.
So... Hesjedal doped. A clean cyclist never goes above 390, like you said. I'm really pissed at him.

USADA said that Amstrong and Bruyneel are used to be in doping operations from 1998 to 2011. It makes me laugh because if that is true that means the two have made the UCI a fool organisation who have no utility for like 13 years or UCI protected Amstrong due of his popularity.
I don't think the Radioshack Nissan Trek's riders are doped beacause they cannot do a worst season imo. |

If they were doped Andy would of actually finished a race this year

For the "Armstrong didn't dope" crowd, here's a post I wrote a long time ago on the CN forum. This was before his ridiculously suspicious blood values from the 2010 Tour de France were revealed, so I don't mention them here:
(...)
First there's the cancer that methastasized waaay too fast for it to be possible in anyone not taking HGH.
There's also the fact that the cancer should've been picked up much, much earlier than it was, because in the early stages of testicular cancer, certain markers that indicate cancer show up in doping tests and are so obvious they are impossible to miss.....unless you're using masking agents to conceal drug use. In which case those markers are masked as well.
(...)
I usually enjoy reading all your insight on Armstrong's shenanigans, but there's something I feel the need to point out in your writings:
I don't know if tumour markers are traceable in doping tests or not, but they certainly aren't impossible to miss, and may very well be normal in a lot of patients, so you might want to review that argument there

The reason athletes don't have problems with cancer usually is that it's caught early because they're tested often and the markers always show up in steroid tests.
Unless you use probenecid or other substances that have the same effect: hide the excretions the body dumps when metabolizing the steroids. These markers are also hidden by probenecid and associated substances.
