"It was a solid day today. Points are points and i'm happy especially as the car was lacking pace. I'm still ahead of Dom in the Championship but he's gaining the momentum you'd expect of the lead driver. We'll go to Imola with lowered expectations, just looking to score points again. The season is starting to shake out and i think for now our goal is to battle for a Top5 overall and continue pushing for a lucky podium finish."

Race 7 – San Marino – Imola – Preview
Imola is a circuit with a lot of racing history. Many things have happened here, and unfortunately a lot of bad things as well. It’s also the home race from the championship leader, Antonio Panico. He’s really motivated for this race and he hopes to take the win here. But Mazzilionia is struggling the last time. After three victories for Panico in the first three races, the team didn’t win. The good news is that the last three races they had at least one driver on the podium. But also the fact that Moreno Costa has left the team gave some commotion. Panico may hope that Mazzilionia will be back at the top of the podium soon, but it doesn’t look very good at the moment. Panico’s rivals Sebastian Schumacher and Paul Rosanski see their chance and have to catch up with Panico, so it will be a tough job for him.
The qualification is an important part for this race. Overtaking isn’t very easy here. There are three places where it could be possible. At the Traguardo, the Rivazza and the Variante Bassa. The last two are more difficult than the first one, so maybe we only have one place to overtake. The pitstops will be important as well. For sure it’s going to be interesting, and hopefully we’ll see a lot of fights on the track.
Paul Rosanski: “I don't like San Marino, because I think it is a pretty lame track. I like the Chicane in the 3rd sector, because you need some balls to drive them flat out. On this track it is pretty hard to overtake, but I think with our good pace it should be possible(if we aren't on pole). We aim for the win in this race.”
Antonio Panico: “Woo! back home baby, I've been looking forward to this since the opener. I've grown up racing on this track and it's great to get to come back here with this new formula. Hopefully being at home will help re-energize me as I'd love to add a win in front of the friends and family. The car has not been as dominant recently, hopefully the team will step it up this weekend so we can return to where we belong. And it's nice to have a new teammate, they clearly thought I blew Costa away too much, let's see if this new guy can get any closer.”
Arie DePalma: “It's good to be back on the paddock, thanks for asking. I got to tell you, it's really frustrating to be one the sideline for a race. It felt like it took 2 months to get back in the racing seat. However I'm back and I'm ready. Now on to my opinion of the track, it's not my favourite track of all time. The Tosa corner especially is annoying with it's elevation. The two chicanes (Variante Alta and Variante Bassa) are to my liking however. All in all I'm happy to be in the car again so it doesn't really matter where I would race.”

When someone else is injured, MrUfo will post this here, and a testdriver for this race will be announced. At the end of the season, your driver could maybe get a contract.

Race 7 - Imola - San Marino - Qualification
Sebastian Schumacher takes pole on Imola in front of Paul Rosanski and Justin Clark. The biggest surprise is on P4: Miljenko Vuckovic outqualifies Antonio Panico! Moreno Costa failed to do that six races, and Vuckovic does it in his first race weekend. Great job! Panico will start as 5th in his home race. He sure wants to win the race or take a podium, but seeing his teammate start in front of him is hard. With Joe Armstrong on P6 we have the three strongest teams on the first three rows. The race will be very interesting to see.
Top-3 Press Conference
Sebastian Schumacher: “It’s the third time I have pole-position, but I’ve never won after I took it. Hopefully that will change this weekend. I’ll give everything to win here. Although it’s Panico’s home race, he doesn’t seem to be very strong. It’s also a great chance to take back some points and close down the gap in the championship.”
Paul Rosanski: “I hoped for pole but a second place is good as well. I see opportunities with this position, especially at the start which will be very important. Overtaking is diffuclt here, so the start and the pitstop will be the most important parts of the race. And of course I may not any mistakes, but that’s always important. And as Schumacher says, we have a chance to take back some points in the championship, which will be a goal as well. And we have a good chance doing that, with Justin just behind me and Vuckovic as 4th, who really wants to beat Panico. And maybe Armstrong could do something as well. It’ll be interesting.”
Justin Clark: “It’s the second time I qualified in the Top-3, so it’s a very nice result for me. I hope to take a podium tomorrow. Maybe we can go for a 1-2, but most important is that Paul wins this race and I finish in front of Panico, so we can take back points. This is our chance so we have to take it. But hopefully I’ll sit here tomorrow as well with a podium finish.”

Joe Armstrong Conference.
To be honest I am very happy about qualifying and I hope that I can race well and get on the podium as I know we have a good car, we just have to be careful as this circuit is very dangerous as we say when Senna died here during an F1 race, so I'm going to be racing as hard as I can, but no I'm not going to take stupid risks like some drivers have in the past.

Race 7 – San Marino – Imola – Race
Number of laps: 32
Paul Rosanski wins the race in San Marino. The German driver from Mohn overtook Sebastian Schumacher at the start and after that he didn’t lost the lead. Schumacher finishes once again second, only four seconds behind his rival. Miljenko Vuckovic has an awesome debut and finishes third! He did very well to keep Justin Clark behind him. The gap was only three seconds. Three seconds behind Clark finished Antonio Panico. The championship leader is struggling at the moment, and that his new teammate has beaten him in his first race isn’t good news for him as well. Joe Armstrong didn’t have the pace of his teammate and only finished seventh. Both Dunemonte drivers took points as well, just like James Harden and Timothy Raue.
Panico is really losing his lead in the championship. Rosanski is only 9 points behind him! Schumacher follows with a backlog of eighteen points. Number four in the classification is Moreno Costa, but he probably won’t start this season anymore so the fight for the championship will go between these three drivers.
Top-3 Press Conference
Paul Rosanski: “I’m very happy with this victory. My qualification was good, so I saw chances to take the victory. I had a better start than Schumacher and after that I didn’t lose the lead. The gap to Panico is only nine points now, and we’re halfway the season, so the second part will be very interesting. I hope to perform good and drive consistent. Then I have a big chance on winning the title. But there’s still a long way to go.”
Sebastian Schumacher: “Well, this looks like a replay of France. The same happened there. This is already the third victory I lost, because I crashed in Spain at the end of the race. That’s a shame, but I still may think about the championship. I’ll give everything at the second part of the season and I hope luck comes to me next time.”
Miljenko Vuckovic: “Wow, what a race. I’m so happy to finish on the podium at my debut. This is a dream. And beating my teammate in his home race is great as well. Still seven races to go so I hope to be even better then. The car is very good so I’ll try to take some more podiums and maybe I can think about a victory.”
Drivers’ Quotes
“I hoped to perform better in front of my fans, but instead I’m losing my lead in the championship.”
(It wasn’t Antonio Panico’s weekend)
“Unfortunately I didn’t took a podium, but I’m very happy that Paul took the victory here. His championship goals are a bit closer now, and I still helped to finish in front of Panico.”
(Justin Clark is a real teamplayer)
“This car is a joke.”
(Nick van der Valde is fighting with his car instead of with other drivers)
“I’m happy to take points once again.”
(We almost forgot that it’s the fifth time that Timothy Raue took points this season)
“My goal was to finish in front of Panico, but instead I finished behind De Forest.”
(It wouldn't be a problem if De Forest finished in front of Panico, Joe)
“You can see that I’ve missed a race.”
(Arie DePalma is searching for an excuse after he finished last)

"Great victory, for me, and for the team. Justin helped, with keeping Panico behind. And congrats to Schumacher and Vuckovic for completing the podium. The fight with Schumacher was intense and a great experience. Overall i am pretty happy with the result and i am very happy to have such a great Teammate by my side. I think Justin is gaining some momentum and i think he is capable of winning races soon."
-Paul Rosanski
Great tempo MrUfo! the story comes further and further. I hope that the other managers around here(with 4 exceptions) will become more active again. Maybe you should consider a big mid-season test(which means, that the cars of the teams will evolve and/or devolve strongly. That could bring people like Arie DePalma in a better car for the rest of the season, and this would make some managers more active in this.
