*the_hoyle - Thank you .. we are trying to have a different start here as the one we had in Giro.
After one failed attempt from B.Vaugrenard to go with the break, A.Roux managed to get away and together with
A.Petit(COF), J.Ghyselink(WGG) & J.Engoulvent(EUC) they formed the only breakaway for today´s stage.
They managed to bring it until around the 20kms mark..
With 5kms to go, we tried to bring A.Demare to a good sprint position..
Lotto Belisol and Omega Pharma formed the strongest trains..
We miss some high end speed..
We are still too far..
A.Greipel takes his 2nd stage win..
It´s still too early but A.Greipel looks to be the biggest favourite for the green..

Sorry i have not commented on this story(well idn't think i have) but i really enjoy the first stages of the TDF. I really find PCM 13 too easy but that is because i am always Tinkoff or Movistar.
You have open'd my eyes to a smaller team as every result you get must be satasfyin?. I am thinking of being, Europcar or Team Giant(try to win TDF with Barguil 1 day). But yes i will follow this. |

It feels like a year but were only a couple of days...

With P.Fédrigo leading the boards, we will try to increase his lead..
With the stage going on, Fédrigo founded a place near Chavanel, his main opponent..
The peloton reaches the 1st Kom sprint without any breaks, SKY didn´t wanted and actually we weren´t interested either...
Like we predicted, Chavanel attacks for the points but with only 1pt to be given, we decided to spare Fédrigo´s energy and instead we launch A.Vichot..
2nd Kom sprint, 5pts at the top... Fédrigo rides to the front, Chavanel on the left side..
3kms to the top, Fédrigo raises the pace, some riders start to struggle.. Chavanel is not far..
.. but Fédrigo takes this one with Chavanel missing the points..
Later on, we reach the final climb.. T.Pinot comes to the front, he´s on up something...
Close to the top, T.Pinot attacks... maybe a little too late for that.. his downhill abilities suck..
Here is the proof of that.. Pinot is reeled in by the reduced peloton ( 23 riders )... many lost contact because of the high pace was needed to bring our captain back..
The pace got relaxed, peloton gets bigger on the closing kms..
Without any delays, final sprint starts..
Katusha´s D.Moreno leads..
.. and takes the stage win..
C.Froome keeps the yellow.
Fédrigo raises his lead..

*atlanta - First want to welcome you here, great to have you on board..
We will fight for it, sure... there aren´t so many points to earn on
kom sprints so this little lead from Fédrigo might be decisive..
*sutty68 - No it didn´t.. we aren´t any good at TTT, this result was no
surprise.

We are heading to the 1st Kom sprint and we have to take the lead in the pack.. Fédrigo needs all the points he can get.. 3 riders are in front..
R.Dennis(GRS), F.Cancellara(TFR) and
J.Tschopp(IAM) are the ones..
2,5kms to the top... Fédrigo makes the work now.. it´s going to be hard to get to the front..
Attack..
... but in vain..
On the way to the 2nd Kom sprint, Fédrigo joins up with the front.. Movistar leads the pack and bring it close..
Fédrigo takes the 2pts... better then nothing..
Half stage done, starts to rain.. this made the peloton to ride carefully..
65kms.. D.Nerz(BMC), J.Peraud(ALM) and D.Moreno(KAT) decide to get away from the peloton..
SKY leads the pack.. at this point, Cancellara is virtual leader..
Int. Sprint.. Cancellara takes it, our man is 2nd..
20,5kms to go, Moreno´s group catch up with the front.. 1´13"gap to the peloton..
There is movement in peloton.. C.Froome, A.Valverde and A.Contador attack..
12kms... all together now... D.Moreno attacks again..
Couldn´t go far.. C.Froome reach the final 5kms leading the race.. N.Quintana(MOV) follows..
Behind them comes this 13 riders group with our captain
T.Pinot..
C.Froome wins and raises his overall lead.
Good result by Pinot, was able to stay with the front.. unfortunally Fédrigo lost his Kom lead but he will keep the fight.. A.Demare falled down but was able to keep up with the race..

*sutty68 - He´s trying mate, its going to be a great adventure for him..
*atlanta - We( i ) hope too
the_hoyle - Thank you for your kind words mate, appreciate it.
Hard stage but great chance for Fédrigo to earn some kom points..
1st kom sprint closing in.. D.Ulissi(LAM) & A.De Marchi(CAN) try to escape.. we lead the pack and keep them close..
.. kom sprint geting closer, S.Chavanel(IAM) attacks.. we have to raise the pace..
Fédrigo takes the front and bring them back... 4kms to the top..
600meters, Fédrigo attacks.. no reaction from the pack, specially from Chavanel...
Fédrigo takes the points.. Chavanel attacks from behind..
After the descent, Fédrigo, Chavanel & Riblon escape from the pack and form the 1st established breakaway..
2nd kom sprint with 25pts to the first... 5kms to the top... breakaway group has a good lead..
Fight´s on..
Fédrigo takes it.. well done... with the pack descending fast, we receive the new that Geslin abandons the Tour.. bad news for our sprint train indeed..
With the peloton starting 3rd climb, we send A.Jeannesson to make the final riders selection..
Back to the front.. 3rd kom sprint..
Chavanel attacks... Fédrigo counters in time and takes this sprint too... well done..
Jeannesson´s pace did lots of damage in peloton... only 27 riders could keep up with the pace..
With the stage going fast paced and with the peloton having to descend the 3rd climb, some top10 riders decide to attack.. the first one to go is J.Rodriguez(KAT).. Froome, Quintana and Horner counter..
At the front, Chavanel decides to get rid of pour man.. Fédrigo can´t counter anymore.. he reached his goal for today already..
Such a high pace behind.. our captain T.Pinot can´t keep up with the main group.. but he fights hard to stay close..
Froome´s group catches up with Chavanel.. 5kms to the top in last climb.. Valverde, Quintana, Contador & Horner are the others here..
Pinot keeps his fight to close the gap.. 20kms to go..
After a big effort from him, Pinot catched many riders even before the top.. he just needs to be carefull now, going downhill..
At the front, the fight for stage win starts.. Froome leads..
Chavanel its too tired to sprint..
What a show of stenght from Tour leader C.Froome..
Froome takes the win..
Great and big effort from Fédrigo today.. he gets the jersey back.. Pinot dealed really well today with his -3 day form..

*the_hoyle - Yes it is.. .. we were really lucky..
*sutty68 - Indeed mate.. Fédrigo did great here... about Dubos, we really hope he can develop into a world champion sprinter..
After yesterday´s rest day, nothing better then a flat stage to warm up... i can say we missed this sprint completly... with 3kms to go, we were already out of the fight.. (focused on other things).. this final sprint was really interesting to watch, M.Cavendish and A.Greipel fought for the win until the finish line... close one.
Cavendish wins by just a few inches and revives the fight for green... with stage10 being flat, these riders promise another exciting finish... and we want to be more present this time.

M.Marcato(CAN) tried to surprise the sprinters but with no luck..
M.Cavendish takes the stage win..
No changes in GC but at points ranking, Greipel looses the green for Cavendish.. just for now..
