I think white is important. But not more so than the others.

Next year TdF will be awesome. Froome, Quintana and Nibali.
Remember Nibali is only guy too beat Froome this year in any GC in Tirreno–Adriatico, Though in downhill on penultimate stage.
next years TdF is for Porte

Congratz to QUINTANA for winning WHITE AND POLKA DOT jersey in one tour
This is the first guy who did THIS.
Merckx would've if the white jersey had existed.
Would be surprised if Quintana didn't go full-on for the Tour next year, sending the only guy with a chance of beating Froome to a much lesser race like the Giro (in terms of marketing value that is) doesn't seem like the best move...
But then team manager Alejandro Valverde wouldn't have the chance to keep chasing his most desired career goal, the TdF podium.

Whats your take on this? I dunno enough to make any kind of analysis
My take would be that those numbers are quite enormously impressive for the penultimate stage of a really tough Tour, especially the last four-five days taken into comparison. It was a short stage and that is the only factor beneficial of this being a clean ride.
Never.

Giro climbs were longer and done in the cold, but most of them weren't as fast if you check VAM, Watts or stuff like that.
Randomly guessing what Nibbles performances would have been on this Tour de France, and discounting the influence of his presence in the race, I guess he'd have been second with some margin though. About midway between Froome and Quintana. Slightly behind Quintana in the mountains, but much closer to Froome in the TT. |

If Quintana wont be caught in some doping .....
But next year is next year and Froome wont have any problem winning his 2nd tour.
Nibali wont be a problem for Froome uphill. |

I don't think Porte has what it takes over 3 weeks. That is just my opinion. Nothing to do that I'm a Brit.
It happened with Wiggins-Froome. But now Wiggins is passed his best. But Froome still in prime and as long as Porte is in same team he will never be leader. |

No. Porte has been promised leadership at the Giro.
Froome has already said that he wants to win the next 6 or 7 Tours.

Not to mention that Froome is quite greedy, even asking him to work or sit out so his best friend can take the win would be too much for him I think. |

But another thing, some of the experts mentions that especially Rodriguez´s transformation over the rest day is very suspicious.
So it might not be over yet

Yeah, right. Because he didn't do exactly same thing last year for Wiggins?
Anyway, Froome is stronger rider than Porte, hence he'll be leading Tour. Porte will be doing Giro with according support.

Hopefully not...
I doubt that could happen though, but you never know on what Sky's "science" team is atm. |

Cadel Evans finishing over a 1 hour done overall, I have never seen him finish over an hour down, I think it may be time to retire, but I think the fact that he done the Giro maybe a reason why, maybe the Giro had taken alot of him than we expected.

I cant understand why people consider Porte to be a GT winner and especially not Tour De France.
Yes, he is good on the uphill climbs but unless it was on purpose he is over 30min behind the winner.

He was a domestique from the off, he didn't go to this Tour with the mentality of the leader.
You can't discount Porte's chances of winning a GT due to few bad stages here.

That was also before he won, winning is addictive. |

Of course they can. What do you think bio passports do? The only transfusion that can't be detected is one that the quantity is so small that almost no advantage is gained.
If Sky is doping, it's something new.
Also, everyone in this forum pretty much casts doubt on every win. How can you still enjoy the sport thinking like that? |

When have you ever seen a rider go from being 30-35min behind the winner to actually win a tour?
I guess if Porte wants to prove that he is taking something else then tap water, he cna win, but there is no chance in h... that Porte can ever win a GT if he is clean. |

When you take into account the amount of work Porte has done, also the stage he was caught out in the crosswinds, Porte has probaly done the most work of any domestique in this years Tour!
