To be perfectly honest I preferred it when there was de laminations everywhere, made it better to watch. But since that's an accident waiting to happen, they probably made the right choice, if it was up to me they'd just have tires which last the whole race, removes strategy and the best guy will win, simple. Or add it in as a viable option to 0 stop because at the moment A- against the rules B- not practical. I prefer teams like last years Sauber who take the risk to do well, and they got some podiums because of it. |

@The Hobbit: I'm actually talking about the fact that Paul Hembery is such a silly boy to say to Alonso 'shut up because you are a champion and they don't say those things'. Alonso wanted to change the tyres, so did Red-Bull. But Hembery listened to Red-Bull, but not to Alonso.
But yeah it has happen and the only thing what I want is a great season next year and at least tyres were it's possible to race with.

Kevin Magnussen might replace Perez at McLaren. Massa signs for Williams and will pair with Bottas in 2014. I hope Maldonado doesn't go to Lotus, like it had been rumoured, it would be a waste. Hulkenberg for Kimi's place. |

I really hope that Pérez stays at McLaren. It was a difficult year for him and the car wasn't great at all. Nice to see Massa at Williams. And don't give Maldonado that place at Lotus. I prefer to see someone else there.

I feel bad for Perez. He got moved up too soon into a team that was way down on 2012. Then Button cried his eyes out whenever Perez beat him. Now being replaced after a decent run of form.
Still Magnussen is f*cking fast! At one stage it was rumored Red Bull were after him to replace Webber.
Hopefully Perez can find a seat somewhere, but i can't see an open seat for him. Perhaps Sauber will take him back, but i don't think so.
Maldonado pretty much a certainty for Lotus from what i've seen around over the last couple of days. Hulkenberg looking more set to head back to Force India in place of Sutil, who in turn is likely to just leave F1 altogether, again.
Does look mean Lotus will exist next season. Di Resta will still have a drive. McLaren just waiting until 2015 and Hondas return, and then attempt to bring in Alonso from Ferrari after his contract ends.
And in other news, Kubica still thinking of a return to F1. Been doing some work in the Mercedes simulator and is showing promise there. But he admits that it is unlikely to be for another couple of years. Still hasn't got enough movement back into his wrist and arm yet.
However it's not stopping him being awesome. Won the second division of the WRC last weekend, and will run in the full championship at Rally GB. Also has been testing for DTM. Great that he can still get out and racing.
I hope he goes DTM for 2014 as it will be better prep for a potential F1 return, which might be 2015 at his current rate of recovery.

Quantum money hasn't arrived at Lotus yet. There are worried faces there. |

Didn't know Quantum had actually signed the deal! Missed that news... Well then Nico for the title in 2014
PDR will be at FI next season, 90% certainty. And that's from a friend of a friend who works at their factory. They might be a bit annoyed at his attitude, but he is a good driver. Sutil is decent but they are not sure if he's going to deliver that next level of performances they want to push up the table next season. Not that i know how they are looking at instead, possibly Maldonado and his money, i have no news.
Kubica is interesting. He's got the belief, never was a question even right after the accident. But he has shown that the injury hasn't slowed him down. His times in the simulator are fast. He can drive an F1 car, but the question is could he do it for the length of a race weekend, or a full season.
Next season it will be either WRC or DTM. WRC looks more likely of the two, with a pretty much guaranteed drive having won the Tier 2 championship. He's been testing for DTM but havn't heard of a team declaring interest.
WTCC bad move, that series is really struggling to gain big reputation... still.
GT would be interesting though. Depends on the catagory.

GT doesn't have so many worthy categories. GTE (GT2) in North America, and WEC.
GT3 for Blancpain and FIA GT (sprints), but that's at a lower level.
With the new GT rules due to be applied from 2016 onwards, there might be new factories efforts in the GT+ category (or whatever it'll be called).
In WTCC he could get a part time Citroën drive, might be interesting for him.
DTM is the closest thing to F1 after LM prototypes (and open wheel formulas), but I read the same (or rather : didn't read), as far as I know there are no Mercedes drives available next year, and if he's to get a DTM drive it'll 99,9% sure be a Mercedes one.

So red bull is a second clear of everyone else this weekend after the qualifying...
Should I even bother watching it?
(BTW, great Qualifying from Hulkenberg, not that it matters where anyone qualifies cause the chances of winning in anyway are non existent! 3rd place can be counted as a win... Literally!)

I have a feeling that Grosjean can put up a fight today against the bulls (like in japan) though it's clearly Vettels race to lose.
Will be great to see the battle for second in the constructors championship, if Kovalainen doesn't fall short then Lotus might surprise both ferrari and Mercedes.. Oh and I love the Austin Track, should be a great race despite the dominance of Vettel.

When he takes Vettel at the start he might have a chance. When Vettel is leading after the first lap then nobody else has a chance.

The biggest threat right now for Vettel is a mechanical/crash... |

Gotta love how Vettel wins time on Grosjean while Webber has difficulty following Hamilton. |

The only way to make Brazil interesting is with rain or with an other driver than Vettel leading after lap 1.
Nice to see Bottas finishing 8th! People say that the differences between Vettel/Webber and Alonso/Massa are big, but the difference between Bottas and Maldonado is even bigger. Have you already seen Vettel finishing the season with 4 times the number of points from Webber?
