i'm going 3-4 mins for Euskatel to lose
also, worth noting that Cav was about 5th when the crash happened, would have been interesting to see where he'd have finished up |

I doubt we're going to see much of Cav after such a loss of skin, won't feel great at all.

Mmm... looks tender.
There's a fine line between "psychotherapist" and "psycho the rapist"

If I remember correctly, the wound does not hurt (much). The crank broke when I was sprinting. It was not a very funny experience but not that painful. |

It burns more than it hurts, and you get another share of pain when scabs get away (like while showering, etc.), and leave you a scare, but that's it, more or less, It's superficial, as impressive as it may look. |

I also don't think the general response to his (and I say it again) dangerous move would be the same if they were in opposite situations.
Of course...
Should anyone be treated special just because of their abilities to sprint or whatever? It's not like I'm anti Cavendish (or anti-anybody for the matter) but he got more attention than Goss. |

Serious question here just looking for everyone's opinion's but do you think Ferrari move was more dangerous then the headbutting of Renshaw incident and the Cooke and Robbie Mc incident?

More dangerous, probably, given that you picked two moves that didn't result in crashes. I think that Renshaw deserved to be kicked out of the tour though, while Ferrari didn't deserve to be kicked out of the Giro.

I've seen Cavendish do exactly the same move a few years ago. But you didn't hear every British fan crying disgrace at that moment
This is so true. Cavendish acts like an idiot whole cacling career and he is saint in comparsion to Ferrari suddenly.
Still dangerous move from Ferrari and i hope everyone is okay.

Seems like both the anti-Cavendish posters always have negative to say about him... |

I cant help myself, when someone showing mid-finger to the opponents, arrogant rider with no respect to the others, someone who was draged to Paris by the car up the mountains, always looking for the unfair advantage is chanted as saint. We are both non-objective, the Cavendish worshipers and Cavendish-haters too, but that is normal among sport fans.

My biggest problem with the whole Ferrari-Cavendish thing is this - why does he have to apologise to Cavendish? Why is this all about him? Phinney went down too, but he isn't having a huge public dummy spit about the whole issue. And what about everyone else who went down?
Seriously, Cavendish just feels so entitled to wins. Like this for instance:
https://velonews.c...ing_216936
“Things are changing in the peloton,” Cavendish said. “There’s not the respect there used to be and that means there are a lot more crashes.”
“Teams are all trying to stay at the front. It causes more stress than if it’s just left to the sprinter teams on the sprint days,” he said. “Especially when there’s a lot of wind, that just heightens it. It was nervous out there. Every single kilometer of every single day is now just stressful. Stressful, stressful, stressful.”
Of course they are at the front - it is a Grand Tour! Where else do you suggest they go on stages where the wind can play a part?

Cav is making a big movie about all of this. Ferrari made a stupid mistake, it's true, but its over. |
