I can see Cav going to OPQS or Rabobank because they do have Renshaw and the resources to lead him out in, Boom, Bos, Brown, Renshaw! I think Rabo would be better suited for Cav.

This.
He has a lot of confidence in himself, saying that he'll be one of the best stage racers in the future. I haven't seen any of that yet.
Hey, he is still very young and had some decent GC results. I would not say his days are over, maybe Riijs is all he needs to support his talents, which he obviously has. I still think he is a possible future GT winner or podium at least. Dont forgot he won the white jersey in Giro last year...
Edit. Anyway i woudl love this move

Saxo looking better and better.
Kreuziger and Fuglsang should not demand anything..because they have not done anything (beside Kreuziger 6. day races)
Yeah, because white yersey and 6th place in the most difficult GT ever is nothing...you can be so disrespectful Guido,

Lefevre said that he want's Cav to go to OPQSm but he's too expensive, as Sky said that to break the contract with them, Cav should pay 6M€, given off course by another team, and this team should five him a +3M p/y contract, and nowadays there are 1 or 2 teams that can afford this |

So Kreuziger denies the words of Oleg Tinkov today, saying that deal is not subscribed and agreement has not been reached.
He says he focuses on Olympics now and he will reveal before the start of the Vuelta, there are more teams in the game now and they will make the decision in London with his manager.
So classic PR talk

I really don't get this move... he will focus into classics and Giro/Vuelta or become Contador domestique? I think both options are a downgrade for him...

I think he'll be a domestique for Contador in the Tour, and lead STB in the Giro or Vuelta. I don't think he can find something better on sporting grounds than that at this point of his career.

But he's 26, he's got the young class at the giro (2011) and 3 top 10 at GC. I don't see how he can waste the best years of his life beeing a domesique. I don't know, maybe it me that I have this rider in better consideration than he deserves...

But he could still lead at the Giro/Vuelta, just as he did this year. It's just that he'd go to the Tour to domestique for Contador.

I might be too much Tour minded... You are right, leading a good team to Giro/Vuelta is still ok. And Contador really urges a super domesique because Navarro & Hernandez are not the cream of the crop.

Yeah, he is. People here think you are not good because have not won a GT being 26, while many GT winners were much worse when being 26. I think the case is that he was too good too early, so people had too much expectations for him and he did not live up to them completly. Because when he was 22 he was very close to level of A.Schleck and above level of Nibali. Now he is behind them, but i dont like also when people are ruling him out completly for the future, he should have the best years in front of him.
I think Saxo move would be great for him, he needs someone like Riijs ,some mentor.

Roman Kreuziger announced that he has not yet signed with Saxo Bank as he is still negotiating with some other teams other than Astana, we will know his future team only after Vuelta, he stated.

He can't beat Sky unless he's doping. At least, that's what Wiggo says.
Poor Wiggo, next year he will get his ass kicked. I'm just seeing Contador attacking, Schleck following or the reverse, Froome trying to go too and Wiggins completely stopping on the road
There's one more guy (I just hope he prepares and has some luck for once).
That one guy isn't at Contador/Schleck II level.
Are you talking about Anton?
Yes. And this year's vuelta could probably be the most important race in his career. |

Dont fall again fellow qountry man hole.
He has been always aiming a podium..and never come even close.
Every Gt has started as..Now Kreuziger will show us..then again top 6. Even kisses asphalt Gesink has better GT results.
and there is nothing wrong to be with Contador in Saxo..there is 2 GT after Tour left (Contador will go after this). I hope that Taaramäe had made this decision

D'oh, I assumed you meant Samu. Can't see Antón going to the Tour next year, honestly, I think Samu will want to be there again after the bad luck he's had this year.
Agreed about the Vuelta thing though, he really needs to step up and deliver the top result he's very capable of getting as soon as possible.

Samu could do a Giro/Vuelta next year. But again, it all depends on Anton's performance in Vuelta. He should prove himself, his ability and put one consistent race. The fact that such a talented guy has only one top 10 GT finish at age of 29 is a blasphemy. |

True that, he should stop talking big and concentrate more and than speak. Believe me i am also disappointed by him, but saying that he did nothing in GTs is pretty harsh, that could be said rather about Rein

He's been useless for two seasons in a row now, and didn't exactly shine back in 2010 either, although he was second on a Dauphiné stage. Last year not a single CQ point, this year a few from finishing races.
Wasn't he supposed to be one of cycling's biggest talents?
