Astana
NIBALI Vincenzo
IGLINSKIY Maxim
BRAJKOVIč Janez
FUGLSANG Jakob
GRIVKO Andriy
KANGERT Tanel
TIRALONGO Paolo
VANOTTI Alessandro
ZEITS Andrey
Amazing squad, every single rider is a very good climber. Very good TTT squad, and tons of support for Nibali in the moutains, and good enough support for any tricky flat stages ( which I doubt there's many or any at all ).
We should be seeing an Astana train at Vuelta for sure.

Looks even stronger than the Giro squad Can't see Nibbles losing any time in the TTT

Surprising that they left out Agnoli. He usually follows Nibali around all his races.
There's probably a good reason for it, otherwise I think they'd have picked him instead of Tiralongo or Vanotti. Still, insane climbing squad apart from Iglinskiy.

With a squad like that, you'd think that Nibali isn't just riding the Vuelta as preparation for the WC. |

Konig is too incosistent too do a good GC, but I hope to see him liven up the action in few of the stages. Barta should do quite well too.
In Voss and Huzarski they have also very solid break riders that could do well on their day.
Tidy team, they should provide some good racing, few Top 10's, podium somewhere, and maybe even a stage win.

Too bad Chernetskiy didn't get picked by Katusha. Good thing is that he can go for own results in some smaller races, as he seems to be in excellent form.
König winning a stage would be cool

It is yet to be seen how König will cope with three weeks long GT, but i think top 15/20 is a realistic goal for him, maybe higher if he will remain consistent or jump to some break that will gain time. But i agree, he should preferably go for a stage win, same with Barta, i expect him to be major threat in TT.
Anyway, this can be huge GT for Czech Republic. It has already a record of four czech starters and with König, Barta, Kreuziger and Stybar, i can see some stage win going through, maybe even good GC for one of them.
I wonder how Stybar and Meersman will divide roles at OPQS, but Stybar announced he is going for GC, that is rather optimistic from him.

Also i wonder what Saxo will do in Spain, info from their camp concerning leadership is confusing to say at least. Roche is said to be preparing for Vuelta whole year and should be the leader. Than Majka is said to be the leader too.
After those, Saxo came with recent info that Kreuziger is the natural leader for Vuelta and his power test prior to race look great. Also Kreuziger does not longer says that he is there to take it easy, he was working hard two weeks in Livigno and seems to be in good psychical mood, which is the founding stone for him.
I suppose this madness is actually the PR goal of Saxo to confuse the opponents, first two hill top stages should give the better picture about the hierarchy in the team.

NetApp: I am a big Fan of NetApp, and i hope i can see every stage on Eurosport. 8 can go in the mountain and Schorn for the flat. in my opinion they have should been in the TdF. Hope for promotion next year s we have a german Team in the WT. König is the absolute Leader here.
Edit: Didn´t see Dempster .... cleary not a climber.

De la Cruz too. Under-rated climber imo. In fact the whole team looks alright in the mountains. If Konig really does well, he's got a fair bit of support for a PCT team.
And I agree with what Avin said. Top 15/20 is a realistic goal for LK.

Do not forget that Kreuziger rode full gas Tour..that will leave a mark for shure. Do not expect much
First hill top does not tell us all. There is also 3rd. week
Edit: Kangert riding second GT..he will be good for shure (never have failed at last 2 years). Still is it smart? with he's knees.

Astana indeed incredibly strong.
Saxo is confused..
Roche saying : Going for top5
Nicki Sorensen : Kreuziger can win, and Rafal Majka in top 5. And Chris Sorensen should also be able to get in top 10.
Chris Sorensen: Going for top 10
Sports director: 3-4 guys in top 10.
EDIT: Abovementioned have been said to danish cycling medias
