Thanks
Can't guarantee that the next report will be today. I have to sim all through the giro and my computer is pretty slow when simming, so it takes a while. We'll see if not today, than hopefully tomorrow! |

Colombian National Championships 2013
I love this jersey too much, I will not trade it in for a regular jersey. I only want to trade up, but that's for September. Right now, I'm keeping this shirt.
- Roberto Velásquez -
Prerace (Tour of Slovenia)
Roberto's preparation for the NC went fairly well. He had raced Tour of Slovenia and finished 3th.
1 | Diego Ulissi | Lampre-ISD | 14h02'06 | | 2 | Simon Spilak | Katusha Team | + 48 | | 3 | Roberto Velásquez | Colombia Coldeportes | + 1'42 | IanButler | 4 | Mathias Frank | Team Vorarlberg | + 3'12 | | 5 | Rory Sutherland | UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team | + 3'30 | |
The Race
Henao wanted that Colombian title. He had been talking about it for months. But Roberto, Duarte and Atapuma were all able to go with him, it seems as if he had no chance left.
However, Roberto had some pride and he didn't want to take Henao out of the race that way, instead, he just started riding himself, with a smashing tempo that took the energy out of everyone's legs.
Result
1 | Roberto Velásquez | Colombia Coldeportes | 4h41'48 | IanButler | 2 | Nairo Quintana | Movistar Team | + 4'41 | | 3 | Rigoberto Uran | Sky Pro Cycling | + 12'25 | | 4 | Sergio Luis Henao | Sky Pro Cycling | s.t. | | 5 | Fabio Duarte | Colombia Coldeportes | s.t. | IanButler | 6 | José Serpa | Androni Giocattoli-Venezuela | + 12'46 | | 7 | Darwin Atapuma | Colombia Coldeportes | s.t. | IanButler | 8 | Alex Cano | UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team | + 13'06 | | 9 | Robinson Chalapud | Colombia Coldeportes | + 13'35 | IanButler | 10 | Mauricio Ardila | Colombia Coldeportes | s.t. | IanButler |
Looking at those time differences, it was a shame Roberto wouldn't enter in that Tour de France. There are many who say he would've had a big chance to win it. Unfortunately, we will never know... |

Half a year eh...
Is he getting banned or switching teams? (I hope the latter and I also think the latter )

Wild Dog: Indeed. But with a startlist of 20, it's a strange race
FreitasPCM: Indeed
francopell: He'll change teams, but that's not the reason. He might switch his NC jersey for a WC jersey |

Wild Dog: It's amazing Thank you so much, I don't know what to say I'm so glad you like the story enough to make something like that!
His next race is a prep-race for San Sébastian. But I'll probably won't report about that, next report will be Sébastian
Jakstar22: That's all that can be said, too, thanks |

I still can't believe how fast you're going with this story (or any story in general)
