Yes, Adam Hansen will lie about the cause of the crash.
Twenty riders do not fall for no reason. The fact that Sky goes full throttle afterwards and then claim they knew nothing is just BS. Also, at the time of Evans crash, the riders in front didn't know there was sabotage - so your point is moot.
are you saying that sky caused the crash just to gain time and take out important riders?
No. That Sky accidentally caused the crash and tried to get the best out of it by gaining time and taking out (of contention for final G.C. win) important riders, yes.

there was meant to be an or....
i kind of understand why people are angry about that (mostly cause it was sky) as it was bad sportsmanship
but with out breaking any rules its kind of just hating on people
i love good sportsmanship, and im not saying waht sky did was right, but frankly its pointless yelling about it (and yes that includes me) as fuck all will come of it other than people getting angry and clogging a forum about racing not sportsmanship (and if this continues ill open another sky arguement thread)

Contador will destroy Froome anyway so it won't matter in three weeks time
Pozzato sucks!

He like 36" back in GC. So no, he's not out of contention.

He kinda is cause i don't see him gaining time on the others. He'd need to attack to do that. And tbh i never saw Valverde as a potential winner of the Vuelta.
Pozzato sucks!

oh come on
when was the last time someone lost a GT by around 35-40" beacuse someone broke the unwritten rules of cycling, ie dont attack the leader after a crash or mechanical

not yet.
Logic that Sky eas already pushing at the front and should not wait race leader who has just crashed is dumb.
yes they have all the rights to not wait no one..but peloton and same riders riing closely together years. You wont get friends or help if you act like this.
This will be all spain against Froome situation..and this is much stronger team then Sky Vuelta line up. |

Meanwhile, Valverde corroborates Adam Hansen's version that the crash was caused by a Sky rider

Not what the video shows, it looks like a SBTB and a Liqui rider crashing into each other.

Don't think Movistar have too much to complain about. Pretty certain I've seen them more blatantly attack due to bad fortune at least twice this season.
Probably why BMC were on the front driving it along for......who? |

Personally, I'm in shock - I'd thought that Sky were only allowed take "marginal gains" on the field, not 60 crash-induced seconds away from a GC hopeful?
Well these things happen time again over a 3000km race - sometimes teams chose to take advantage of them, other times not (co-incidentally those who don't push on tend not to have much to lose, do they?)
As for Sky, they're getting the stick they deserve, and if events come back to haunt them later in the race, all the better in my mind. Well... as long as it doesn't affect Spidey |
