Brixia bought the company that runs Liquigas, which will not affect the title sponsorship. Similar to the way Project 1T4I earlier this year changed to Argos once they got a new sponsor to replace the 'placeholder' of their Project name.

Andy Schleck will still race this season.
Next race GP Fourmies, then GP de Wallonie and GP Impanis. |

Vanmarcke at Rabobank wouldn't be too bad.
Good thing about Andy, maybe he can still make something of his season, doesn't have to be much, but something. |

Meanwhile, not content with simply being remembered by cycling fans everywhere as "One of the densest people alive", Phil Liggett is going for the record.
Now he states the only explanation for lance's ban is that people must've been bribed to make up lies about him.

"I love him, I think he's great. He's transformed the sport in so many ways. Every person in cycling has benefitted from Lance Armstrong, perhaps not financially but in some sense" - Bradley Wiggins on Lance Armstrong

Not just that, he says that "a chap who worked with Armstrong" told him. And he could prove it! Poor man is senile.

Nobody mentioned Hamilton yet? Unbelievable.
Anyway, his biography comes out in a few days. The press are publishing excerpts now. About Armstrong dealing EPO to him, etc.
And that when he joined CSC in 2002, Riis went "This is Dr. Fuentes. He'll be in charge of your doping programme from now on"

Yeah, he said Riis sat him down and explained to him how he wanted to try different doping methods

This fact that Riis is still in cycling is disgusting. A man who was doped - literally - stiff has been guiding top-riders and young talents for the past 10 years, probably earning nice cash as well. |
