Beats me why he changed teams but after Kasechin joining Astana it's starting to look a lot smarter
Plus Taaramäe got his first helper for Tour mountains
Taaramäe need to be a to a lot faster to make point to build a climbers team around him.
I think he was performing great in France, concerning the fact he is only 23. But you are right he should work hard to be the better climber in the future.

I was very surprised by that. Solid signing though.

It was always going to happen, but also he's been with most of his Leopard-Trek teamates for many years, it would be hard for him to leave.

For those who said Millar linked with GreenEDGE, WRONG.
He re-signed.

That doesn't stop him being linked with GreenEdge. He just didn't sign for them.

Why? He surely isn´t as good as he was some years ago but it´s more than enough to ride in the WorldTour.

You obviously haven't seen the Tour the France then. He can be a great domestique. |

Simon Gerrans and Tony Martin Linked to GreenEDGE
https://www.sbs.co...-GreenEDGE
@Schleck96 - Why should stuart O'Grady retire? he's one of the best domestiques around with a lot of experience. He was a good addiction to Leopard Trek this year and I still dont think it was a good call for O'Grady to go to GreenEDGE. However he believes in the team so I hope all go well for him in 2012

Has McEwen been linked to greenedge? I remember he was there with pegasus until they called it off.
I know he also hinted at retiring at the end of the year, but would be intersting having O'Grady/McEwen on the same team heh. |

im not sure how long his contract is with radioshack but seemingly it was a last minute callup to the team when pegasus failed, I reckon it would have been a one year contract.
he hasent performed well but that's because of age. I dont think Greenedge will offer him a contract. The would be on the lookout for HTC riders, take Leigh Howard as a example |

According to L'Equipe, John Degenkolb is going to sign a contract with Skil-Shimano.
A definitive ticket to the next year's edition of Tour de France?

Actually I am a bit surprised as Degenkolb and also Kittel could have a World Tour team probably.
On the other side they are still young and it might be better to learn in a smaller team, that proved to be brilliant for riders like them and also participate in big races.
Definitely one of my favourite teams now. |
