Nice to see PHL stating that there are no competitors here.
Was lovely to see Barguil follow the early move but he overshot a little bit but I am happy to see him maintain top 10 hopefully something he will be able to improve slightly on over the course of the last few stages!

Nothing fancy from Champoussin. I guess a top 20 in the GC will have to do.

Latour is performing above expectations so far, would be great to finish on podium. Top 5 is more realistic target though.
While Latour shines, Philipsen fails again and again this season. I miss points from him a lot.
Thanks sean for nice reporting.

Wow big gaps!
That was a good stage for us. Dombrowski doing as good as we can expect from him and we now hold several nice GC positions. Hope we can keep this up!

Congratulations, knockout!
Very happy with AHJ. That was a very good performance by him, even sitting pretty in the white jersey now. Hoping he can target a good GC and the jersey from here. For Novak, I guess 9th is around what we could expect for such a stage. Hoping he finds a perfect day on one of the other mountain stages to advance a little in the GC, but on the other hand, it might also take a sligh off day to slip down. |

Sorry guys, my computer broke down and got me a new one now, so needed to catch up on the first three stages.
As expected, we don't have a squad nearly good enough for such a race.
Hopefully we can get a couple of guys within top 50 in order to score some points from this race.
Thank you very much seancoll for the great reports and congrats to knockout for that win |

I think sitting 8th in GC is probably as high as we can expect from Yates, so hopefully he can keep it up. That support from Nemo was probably key to his morale.

Brutal for Arifin to miss out on s2, but good to see him do well here in the KOM. Hopefully he can give it a good crack.
Tenorio died so hopefully he can join a break at some point too.
Congrats knockout!

Looks like we will be lucky to see Hirt climbing into top 10, these gaps were huge. Congrats to Evonik!

Solid ride from Carthy. Probably lost to everyone better than him, and gained on everyone worse. The gaps are such that a good or bad day could still see him jump into the top 5 or drop out of the top 10, but if he can hold steady over the last two mountain stages, I would be satisfied. Gregaard sitting in 17th is also really nice. Good to see him last well into the final climb. Very mildly disappointing to see Eg end up 42nd on the stage after dropping from a group of less than 30, but no big deal. And nice to see Sulvaran active in the break!

Finally a good sprint from Van Poppel and it ends up being a win. Really needed that for morale at the moment.

Congrats to alex, I've reported so many bad van Poppel sprints this season it's good to see him finally doing well! Also another good sprint from Hodeg, he's really doing well in those PTHC fields.

Well done, van Poppel! Big congratulations, alexkr, always enjoy Rabobank success
Also super happy with Peak's sprinting here! Felt like he might have snatched even the win here if he found a clear path in the last 100 meters, but van Poppel showed his class and experience. Very well done sprint stages by Peak, now we try again in the mountains.
Thank you for the reports and the pace you roll them out with, sean! |

Kinda questionable why we had to close the gap in the final but shouldnt cost me anything anyway as long as we control the mountain stages...

at least we avoid a 0 pointer after that beautiful 14 minute team wide time loss

Not great from Yates a little over aggressive and lost a lot of time towards the end. Hopefully he can get back in to the top 10 tomorrow and we won't have a new bunch of breakaway guys killing it.
