This team scares me the training is insane and won’t help Bennett dominate anymore. The fact you have like 4 mountain leaders is ridiculous. Clear favourite absolutely!

@Ezeefreak: We didn't expect to get Inigo, but very happy we did. We think he is a perfect secondary stage racer to cover the longer, more challenging climbs that Jorgenson isn't suited for. With more training, he realistic could challenge for a Grand Tour podium. That's exciting!
@TMM: Now we just have to live up to the hype and expectations...
@Jackstar22: Boo Fun times ahead when the road goes up.
@Caspi: Buckle up, we coming for that division title.
Standing Out From The Crowd
We are happy to have two national champions with us for this upcoming season!
Juan Pedro Lopez (RR)
Jorge Abreu (TT)

What a team, wow
Looking forward to the impact of Elosegui's training. He was already very promising last season.

Let's rock these mountains! Awesome depth, five 77+ climbers, I can only dream of such a lineup
C2 mountains definitely are yours, at least if Carapaz and Bennett are as relatively weak as last year. Jorgenson could even Top 5 in some C1 races, depending on the competition, and he should definitely get a couple of white jerseys. Elosegui, wonder if he'll go for ToA with these awesome energy stats. JP Lopez is a great rider to have for the more hybrid races.
However, whereas the depth is awesome on the mountains, the team might lack some top quality on other terrains. No true puncheur, although Lopez could do well thanks to his huge acceleration. Viennet is solid for the TTs, but whereas Rekita with 79TT was the top dog two years ago, there's now clearly more competition. And having just one sprinter also means that it will be difficult to cover all flat stages, so you'll have to hope for breakaways.
Overall, as seen with Chiarello last year, if you can dominate the mountains, you can win the division. We'll see, but you should definitely have your chances

The clear favourites for the CT this year. You’ve done a helluva job rebuilding and managing your finances to leave enough for some very impactful trainings. Loving the fact that we didn’t splurge too much on our mountain/stage race focus, as Jorgensen and your mountain goats have it under wraps already!

As Matteo Jorgenson spent his debut season with my team I am very fond of him and I followed his career with interest. I am still following it and rooting for him. I am glad he's still on your team although Bini created a mess for you. But I guess I am familiar with a mess. Good luck in the new season!

In Zwift's three-year existence, the team failed to complete a season goal (0/15). Mre doesn't have a great track record with completing goals either on the previous teams he has managed -- 15/60 for an abysmal 25% competition percentage. No wonder he is always confused on how everyone else manages to have boatloads of money for training their homegrown talents.
Determined to break the pattern, Newton Foundation contracted a data analytics team to understand Mre's previous shortcomings and figure out a strategy to achieve more of our season goals this season. This what they came up, knowing before the transfer we planned to keep Matteo Jorgenson as our team leader and build on our mountain depth during the transfer season. I think we might actually achieve a team goal for the first time since 2020! *Knock on Wood*
***Team Standings*** | Top 5 | ***Stage Wins in a Season*** | 8 | Tour of Vancouver | Win | Int. Osterreich Rundfahrt | Win | Tour d'Andorra | Top 5 |
The team has also released its full 2024 calendar for the upcomming season.

Some great goal choices!
Team Standings Top 5 looks like a lock given the strength of your team - 95%. Think you probably could've also gone for Individual Standings Top 5 choice without too much hesitation too although your stage win goal should also be achievable. Stage win is a tougher prediction. I think you'll hit exactly 8 for the season - 5 with Jorgenson, 1 with TTTs, and 2 with Viennet. Numbers could really depend on who ends up on your ToA squad.
Tour of Vancouver was a bit of a worry until I saw how good your TTT squad is for a race like that. Ilosegui might even have a shot to come away with a Top 5 at that race behind Jorgenson if you send them both. Without seeing startlists, I'd put that one at 90% likelihood of success.
Osterreich Rundfahrt is another close to lock. There's just no one who can challenge Jorgenson in the MO and the TT. I just don't see Carapaz getting enough time and it would take Arensman having a stellar day in both disciplines to jump over. Another 90% likelihood.
Andorra is the toughest one just because you'll see great competition. We know Jorgenson is great on TTs like that one and Ilosequi should also do well here. It will just depend how many PCT teams head to Andorra with their best riders. Going to put this percentage at 40% to be conservative since this could be a real battle, but if the startlist is weaker than I expect, move it to 70%.
Think you'll be coming home with 4/5 goals no matter how the season goes assuming Jorgenson's bike doesn't just crumble under his greatness.

Now I'm encouraged, I don't remember from the top of my hat my goals record, but... Well. I am glad you built your goals around Matteo Jorgenson, he looks more than capable of reaching them. Like I've already said, I'm biased, but I do not care that much.

Oh nice, I really look forward seeing Elosegui at the ToA. After his training with you and his incredible energy stats I hope he can deliver greatly for you!
I am actually also happy that we wont face Welten a lot during cobble races He might not have the highest cobble stats but when the race is too easy he would be too dangerous in the finals

If I look at your team then I see a team that could destroy all my hopes and dreams for Carapaz
A really strong team and I hope we can have some nice battles at some races with Carapaz against your leaders. Best luck! |

Very cool that you've been able to split up your GC guys. Team looks stacked. Curious how Welten will do, profiles do fit him in CT cobbles.

Amazing! Although I have to admit that I didn't go through everything in detail, even for a "numbers freak" like me that's a lot of information!
