Nude women alongside the road....B)
But seriously though, I agree with Maggot and Alex on the 'watch, but don't play' feature and a better sprinting system. |

-> A sprinting system where a team train and helpers actually are worth anything (think Fassa, Milram, Domina, etc.)
-> Option to choose whether the teams use the racing calendar set for them in the DB (as in previous PCMs) or for the game to set the teams' calendar (as in this PCM). In PCM08 it's always the second way. You can't make the teams have the exact calendar that is set in the DB.
This KILLED the chances of a lot of mod teams coming to PCM08.
-> A chance that a cobbled race might actually end in a sprint (like Kuurne, Wevelgem or the Scheldeprijs) instead of ALWAYS ending in successful attacks
-> For it to be possible for a medium mountain transitional stage in a Grand Tour (which in real life ALWAYS ends in a breakaway winning by 10-15 mins) to actually unfold realistically, instead of the favorites attacking, which is what happens now and is extremely unrealistic.
-> Corrected sprints. As it is now the difference in speed between good and bad sprinters is so small, that people like Ballan keep winning ProTour sprints, or guys who are relaying at the front of the peloton (NOT THE ONES LEADING OUT SPRINTERS) win...
-> Real sprints in mountain and medium-mountain stages that end in flat. The way it is now, when a mountain stage ends in FLAT TERRAIN, the better climber outsprints the better sprinter....for instance, Basso easily beats Di Luca, or Contador easily beats Valverde just because it's a mountain stage, even though the sprint is ON A FLAT MOUNTAINTOP
that's all for now
Hopefully Cyanide will actually read this...

The better sprinting system:
Can you explain that a bit better? I don't know how it will be better, maybe it can start at 2 km(I know VERY UNREALISTIC), but 2-300 meters are a bit too short when it's about 20 meters in the game when it's 3 kms to go, something like the track mode? And I think it's very hard to make a new gametype. |

Maybe Contador has more energy left than Valverde or Basso than Di Luca

This must be the longest "wish" thread before everyone has demanded less bugs.
Agreeing with issoisso, needs to be more realistic to reflect actual cycling

A) Someone did mention it earlier, and two, I blame XML for the gameplay issues |

I thought of that at first, but it happens all the time, so it can't be that. Besides, as real life shows, even if the guy is dead, he'll still sprint faster most of the time.
Valverde is a prime example. He was so very close to being dropped in Liége this year, but barely hung on. If the last climb was 100m longer he wouldn't have come back, he'd have been definitely dropped, he was dead.
Yet when the sprint came slightly later, he beat them all easily. |

Well, I would say that sprints on a mountaintop is to some degree affected by how much energy each rider's got left, but I get your point. Apart from that, I agree with everything you just said. |

You were two seconds ahead of me.
Edit: Two minutes. But I didn't read you post beforehand anyway.

When your that close to the finish line, you can ignore the amount of energy you have left.
I think that's what you're trying to say

Not really. I think the amount of energy is a factor. Just not a huge one.
And I quoted the Valverde example to show that.
Same with pure sprinters getting over hills. in real life, they usually have energy to compete if they survive the hills.
In PCM, they have to be given artificially high stamina and resistance otherwise they won't have the strength to sprint at the end. |

One more thing I'd like is them to sort out the difficulty levels.
IMO,
Flat, Hills and Mountain, Mountain TT's on Hard with good riders - just about right.
Flat TT on hard - way too difficult. |

TT's are the only races I can play in the game, but i agree it is nearly impossible, only win I've ever had was riding Cancellara in a Portugese race where the next best rider was a 73 |
