Katsuya arriving at the harsh reality at these first stages of his first race. Was expecting doing better at the first stage with a mountain finish but supporting the leaders seem to have lead to some energy loss. Hopefully being able to show a bit more of Katsuya's skill in the next 2 stages.

Campeon with some classic decent flat stages as well, and then having over ten guys finishing behind him in an uphill finish. Has to be considered a success

Congrats to Alunderis, keep it up!
Pieren, on the other hand... Even being the team's best climber doesn't help him get into a breakaway - not even keeping up with his inferior teammates. Sure, low Fl doesn't help on those MTFs with a long flat before. Hoping he'll at least have ONE race where he gets a satisfying result...

Incredible! First ever career win for Virginijus! Perfectly timed uphill sprint, it seems. Oh boy, let'see how the final two stages go.
He's worn a leader's jersey before - pink in the Giro, no less - but he's never won a stage. Pieren will get there one day, too.

Great result for Alunderis and Levente, too. That's peak RTG dominance, it's the final year for this tailor-made U25 race for those three. I'm sure we'll meet again in the Grand Tours and maybe leave our mark on them, too.
