Now for the more interesting stages
Nice to see Durbridge and our guys to get or try to get in breaks though. Not sure, if that's concerning in case of our GC ambitions (or just a smart move to potentially score through stage results), but we will find out soon. Would be nice of course, when at least one of our potential GC threats (as things stand now) will survive inside the Top-10 eventually. I'm particularly looking at you, Michael Storer!

Thanks for the reports so far! Vingerling getting a single stage top 3 was probably about as good as we could expect him to perform, now it's pretty apparent that our ppRD is going to take a hit after this race but that was unavoidable at some point in the season. Hopefully Meurisse and Gaspar can keep their GC positions so that we get a few extra points from this race!

Pseudo-puncheur for sale!
Another complete no-show by Moscon, really don't understand what's wrong with him. He's become completely ridiculous by now.
To round off a horrible stage, Schmid just didn't do anything useful from the breakaway, where he should have been at least close to the top KoM competitors.
Not a good idea to come here in terms of GC results, at least the four first stages were fine. But Moscon is just freaking ridiculous all season long for no reason other than PCM randomness and that sucks. I mean, if you finish 7th one year, one could expect to get at least a similar result, but apparently no...
Congrats to the stage winner, though, and thanks for the report.

McCarthy won't do anything here, but that doesn't come as a big surprise with those profiles. I thought he could do well in this stage today though
On the other hand, Storer and Hamilton finished savely in the bunch, where we seemed to be one of the more active teams in the unsuccesful chase. Thanks to Bayly also doing well, we still lead the team's classification despite McCarthy's losses.
Keep it going like that, guys!

Happy with the break fighting it out for that one! Now for the two big challenges. Hoping the mountain stat will be important enough for Faglum Karlsson to be in with a chance at keeping the jersey after the next stage. Fingers crossed!

Well, uh, that was terrible. Was pretty excited about a great stage by Sulvaran before finding out that Aranburu got dropped from a 40 man peloton. Good grief. If he didn't miss any earlier splits, I have no idea how his legs could be that bad.
GC out the window now.

LETS GO! Quinten Hermans pulling the lucky punch that I hoped that he would do when I got him as one of the final pieces in my set up from F/A! Thanks for the report! Hoping that he can compete for the KoM on the last few stages now but even if he doesn't I can be satisfied with this result for sure. Sad to see Meurisse drop in the GC but there are other managers who have it way worse in that regard.
Thanks for the report!

Good ride from Rohendi, that’s what we pay him for. KOM is lovely to have, and he has a nice gap to Bystrom who should be the closest Competitor to him.
Thanks for the report!

Haha, I wonder if Edvald will win us even a single point this season.
Biggest failure of all time. Is it possible to terminate his contract mid-season?
But, wow oh wow Imladrik! Phenomenal reporting, thank you very much. Really enjoys to learn things about Poland and Czech Republic along the road as the race outfolds. This must have taken quite some time, thank you! |

Another great performance from Storer and especially Hamilton! Not sure, how hard the final stage will be, but if this duo can keep their form, a nice GC result is pretty likely. Of course we had high expecations for Storer's U25 contention, but our GC positions are obviously above level so far.

Oh well, Moscon has definitely become a really bad parody. If someone can explain me why he sucks just so much here (and all year long), I'd be happy to accept the bullshit he's delivering, but for now I can't imagine any even remotely sensible justification for this.
Nor for EAB's failure, though, which is just plain ridiculous on this profile, given all those mediocre riders that beat him. Commiserations to red, that's just really ugly.
From my team only Schmid had an acceptable performance in the last two days; today there were just too many stronger riders up front to allow him to seriously compete for the KoM. Hopefully he'll be strong enough next year. But Karatsivis being our best finisher today just says it all about Moscon's complete refusal to work - he can't be that bad, he just doesn't want. Great...

Aranburu bounced back very well obviously. We worked a lot early, and I worried it was gonna be completely for nothing when Alex was near the back a few times, but he ultimately made the right split at the end and seemed pretty strong still in the finale. 4th place is good. If only he hadn't lost so much time yesterday, he'd be fighting for a top 5 right now. I guess there's still a chance to sneak into the top 10 tomorrow, though the parcours don't suit him as well.
Very tough loss for Beltran there, commisserations.

Why on earth did Kraftwerk chase? Moazemi and Bilbao were 7 mins down. We really needed someone in the break. Its a Mystery and we are out of the Teams competition now.
Thanks for the report Imladrik.

Nice with more break action from the team, I do think that tomorrow is the type of stage where a break ends up with a massive gap to decide everything wtih so praying that the guys make it count then! Congrats to Jandal on a nice stage win as well, also Amaysim once again showcases why they are the favourites to win the division, looking like a great race for them!

Areruya is such a freaking beast, holy moly Just did that whole climb with everyone in his wheel not helping and yet nobody could beat him to the line or the GC lead. Even if he can't make it a sweep of the hilltop finishes really hope he can defend his lead tomorrow, and didn't tire himself out too much (or if PCM lets Amaysim use smart tactics with their double threat that could get ugly for us).
Frustrating day for the rest of the team, so many riders in our squad who should be also scoring and they don't even seem to be doing much work and getting tired which is annoying, JA making up for it a bit with two stages, GC and points as it stands but sucks still to see even Stannard dropping off now.
Feel bad for red and Beltran here, bizarre to see him so off his game Would rather be winning these stages in duels with him than with no competition but 78HI guys wheelsucking to the line

My mantra
Good to get two in the break, but no Rohendi on the stage he could have easily sealed the KOM is very bad - he’s going to have to ride his ass off tomorrow to keep his lead.
Setiawa also extremely disappointing. He’s a very handy rider and should do so much better than the shit he served up in that break. Hopefully just an off day. I also don’t like this tactic of sending an unmaxed rider out to defend our KOM lead, surely there’s someone better
Congrats Jandal on the expected, and tsmoha on the unexpected. Sucks to see Beltran getting totally dudded again for no reason - after such a great 2021 this makes no sense at all.
Thanks again for the reports!

Well I have to be pretty happy with Mas so far in this race! Another top 10 stage finish from him/Paez and currently sitting 4th going into the final stage.
Would obviously like to see him have an attack for the podium but more important that he holds onto what would be a very valuable Top 5.
Thanks for another great support and congrats to Jandal on another solid win!
