Balmet is a very nice talent indeed, and I must admit that I find the wage very low considering how much the swiss teams talk about poor talent intakes. I would have expected him to be at 150K or even higher.
So definately a job well done, and if you develop him right, also a very nice sales object in a season or two.

Balmer was high on my shortlist and i became furious when he didnt get any bids early on. Already wondered whether i should have gone for him even if wouldnt be able to level him up in pt. Great signing for sure.

Boivin was asking for a hell of a lot more than 60k during the renewals. So, very good move and I'm glad Boivin found a home with your team. He was very good for us last season and I hope he'll be as good this year too.

Balmer was on my list, but transfers didn't go in a way that I would have felt comfortable committing to him. If you ever feel the need to offload him then I'd be interested.

Well away from being French (he literally couldn’t be further away), Chris Hamilton is clearly happy to join us for the minimum wage nonetheless. He should be a good addition as a domestique and stage hunter.

It's obviously a shame that Balmer didn't end up in a Swiss team, but after relegation I just had other priorities and couldn't fit in a 100k+ talent (which I supposed his wage to be). Should have placed a 50k bid on him instead of Page in hindsight, but yeah ^^ Had I still been in PCT, you'd have had no chance of getting him, so good timing for you  Expect some inquiries during the next off-season though - and during the one after, and after, and after... 
I think most of your min wage riders just flew slightly under the radar, being slightly below the desired quality of most but still really good, so that's a job well done!

Alaphilippe in MG is not the same as irl obviously, but still a great signing for a new French team I think. Boivin should score some nice points for you, whereas your puncheur armade could cause some serious damage as well. Balmer, Bouileau, Delbove, Louvel are all great talents you have signed as well, so the future of the team already looks very bright

Because we want the full experience of managing a team, we also had to make a loaning in deal So we welcome young Lithuainian Rokas Kmialiauskas from Red Bull Žalgiris. Given the tradition of Lithuainians in French teams we consider him within the teams national focus. He’s with us to gather lots of experience, incidentally being our best TT rider by far. Furthermore we are more than happy to ignore any focus objections as he joins us literally for free and brings 400,000 with him which enabled us to our next signing(s).

In a last minute deal with Isostar - Specialized we were able to relieve them from some wage issues (precisely 130,000 of them) by trading in Dylan Teuns to get us a real captain for all kind of hilly and stage races (and relieve us from some 538,500 transfer fee).

Originally our number one choice for the CT draft, we were apparently not the only ones who spotted Cyrile Thiery being unnoticed and were forced to join the bidding just before the transfer deadline. So we signed him for 70,000 in a silent auction. For that we get a genuine swiss army knife of a rider who will be a domestique for all terrains, a lead-out and a breakaway rider all in one.

Two great late additions to your squad with Teuns and Thiery. You already have some nice talents but i previously felt like you struggled a bit to get in some strong scorers. The duo should work nicely in the hills. Teuns obviously is a one of the cases where you just know that he is gonna bring it while Thiery looked easily the best FA to me lying around (outside of sacked riders).

Well, one more reason to consider Le Creuset as our main enemy this year. Signing multiple Swiss riders without being a Swiss team is a no-go in MG world, so looking forward to defeat you wherever possible
Although I have to admit that Teuns is so strong that we'll have to digest a couple of defeats on our own...

Teuns will be a beast at CT level - and a very nice rider to build your first PCT season around. I'm saying PCT because I really can't see any reason why you shouldn't promote.

Well done on your first transfer season. The team you have put together is impressive in depth and with a lot of interesting riders. Gotta say I'm bummed to miss out on Balmer, but you were willing to pay for him so I hope he serves you well!

So how did the silly season went for us?
First of all we’re very happy with the squad we’ve put together (though we missed signing Bardet for a bargain 75,000 by 17 minutes :roll. It should be a nice mix of aspiring talents and veteran riders who’ll have to get our results. And we have quite some riders to do this on all kinds of terrain (as long as it’s well asphalted):
• Boivin and Alaphilippe should get us some results of bunch sprints, the later also from smaller groups or even breaks.
• Teuns and Henao are our main leaders for GC or hilly classics and have some decent support for that.
• Most of our domestiques are stage-hunters of their own, so I expect some good results, KoM jerseys and wins from them, though it’s hard to predict whom of them will be the one(s) to do this beforehand. Race planning will also benefit from this as for many races we’ll be able to send squads who won’t have to support the race leaders much – giving our young guns the race days they need without sacrificing too much of our chances for good results.
• And we could keep most riders for next season without the risk of stat decreases.
But we also spot some weaknesses (aka “chances to develop”, as teachers might call them):
• We’ll be lost at all cobbled races and mostly on TTs, so we’ll skip them as much as possible.
• Right now, we won’t have many riders who’re eligible to training next season. How serious of a problem that’ll be will hugely depend on the budget we get next season.
• And probably there’s something quite obvious we’ve overlooked, so feel free to tell us
And a big surprise at the end:
