Would have loved to get Sütterlin myself, but that deal made a lot of sense for both sides, so not much I could have done, I guess.
I can only echo the others, a very nice mixture of aquiring talent and also getting points scorers that at least give you the potential to stay in PT. Both Kelderman and Keizer are pretty volatile, but with another big rider incoming, you'll be competitive on every terrain. Then it's all about having those guys get as many Top 5s or Top 10s as they can in contrast to Top 15s or Top 20s that can also be in the range of outcomes, I suppose. As you know, I've got my fingers crossed for you

Some solid work so far from you, as Croatia said with limited resources too for the PT
Glad you didn't spend too much on Pira
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

@the people commenting on previous post (and in general): Thank you for the very kind words. Love to see Sütterlin at LPH, with some results similar to last year he should be well worth his 115k, whereas he can also help Keizer in some TTT's. The plan to get a PCT team with five leaders under 2,5M seems to be working out well, let's hope I can get some wages down even more during demands. If the wages won't go down, that means they have done well and we might stay in PT. I prefer the latter option Also very glad to see I found at least one person that is very positive about Pira's future Cheers guys.
You know what is better than two Germans on the team? Three Germans on the team. And not just any German, but the -almost- 2021 national champion of Germany! We all know the competition was rigged and he was unrightfully robbed of his title. On a 140k wage Zepuntke will be our man for the 14 obligatory cobbled racedays. 100th in Ronde van Vlaanderen just to win Paris-Roubaix one week later. You heard it here first. Some might say 525.000 bananas are a lot for him, but we think it is a nice price, and could not have found a better way to let manager Marcovdw celebrate his birthday.
One of probably our most unexpected names on the team ever however is a Georgian cobbled talent, who is currently 26 and should max out at the age of 28. With 75 time trial and 77 cobble he is a rather unique talent (barring some names such as Gamper). We believe he is well worth the 150k fee we sent in the direction of Red Bull - Žalgiris. I'm waiting for the 'big update'
Great work otherwise!

@D2B: For only 700k combined, I think they're worth it Come and get them next year! Zepuntke might be available for the reasonable fee of +- 1.5 million. Keep in mind he will have at least one monument on his name then.
@quadsas: A commission of 20% of his selling price will be delivered to you, as we agreed upon.
@Marco: ..... You know who you need to sign. I know it. Everybody knows it.
@red: You arrived just in time for the most important transfer post of this window
On our last day of the transfer window, as for us it looks like nothing will change anymore, we did some final deals. Signing Zepuntke means we were unable to find a second sprinter, but then an ooportunity arose. In a one season loan swap we have acquired Malaysian sprinter Mohamad Izzat Hilmi Abdul Halil from Indosat Ooredoo. He will try to accomplish what is deemed to be impossible: winning a GT stage (and returning home asking a salary of 500k).
In return we sent Colombian time trialist Ocampo their way, as he should be a valuable asset of their team in the team time trials. This also means the Colombian won't have raced a single raceday in our colours after having been on loan at the infamous Polestar Cycling Team last season.
Another loanee and definitely a special one is Veljko Stojnic from Cedevita. The young guy is level 1.57 and will race as good as any PTHC and PT race there is this season in order to reach level 3. Together with Pira that means we might be the first PT team ever to level up two level 1's to level 3 in a season (in the current format). Planning really is fun.
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | Age | | Mohamad Izzat Hilmi Abdul Halil | 68 | 60 | 60 | 60 | 70 | 66 | 76 | 62 | 79 | 77 | 60 | 68 | 64 | 27 | | Veljko Stojnic | 69 | 65 | 65 | 68 | 69 | 71 | 68 | 56 | 67 | 69 | 71 | 65 | 70 | 23 |
What has been known for a couple of days is now official. Los Pollos Hermanos most legendary rider Alain Quispe has left the team. For a bargain price of 200k he has gone back to where it all started two seasons ago, the Continental Division. He will join Colombini-Adler Aalterpaint together with our Mexican talent Jose Pablo Aguilar Mendez.
He has almost single-handedly brought us to the PT division in only two seasons, and we will never forget that and stop being grateful for it. Sadly, with the new Quispe (Robinson Ruiz) almost being maxed, there was no more place for him on the team. We believe he can do a monstrous job again in CT, and decided to take a little trip to memory lane. Although we have many great memories of the Peruvian, such as riding to fourth in a C2HC classic and getting Manninen to 1.000+ points in PCT last season, one stands out.
Please enjoy with us, one more time, Alain Quispe winning a KoM-sprint in the 2020 Circulo de Juarez, our home race of all places. He was going so hard the riders of the two teams behind him disbanded not too long after.
Alain, we love you. Farewell, you absolute legend.

Nothing but love for Los Pollos Hermanos from Camp Colombini. Quispe will be a talisman for us for sure, and hopefully he can make us both proud. I will take very good care of our little Peruvian Pirate! ❤️

I was going to ask what you were going to comment about without Quipse references. But guess the fact that he isn't on your team won't stop you.

Excited to root for your survival this year!
Especially excited to see how Zepuntke fairs for you. I've never quite understood why he hasn't been among the best in recent years. Obviously not the best backups given his acceleration, but his uphill skills aren't much worse than the majority of cobblers, and his stamina and resistance are good. You feel like he could just break through at any point. With a change of scenery and the right situation, I reckon he could be an amazing value for you.

@Adler: Take good care of him indeed. He will bring you the PT title in 3 seasons then.
@Ulrich: I will never be stopped. Also, Zepuntke is the perfect addition to keep on the meme-show.
@bbl: I sure hope you're right. I really think he could excel in a race like Roubaix with only flat roads and also being quite long. Hope he proves me right
Last time, we thought we were done with transfers. Although it wasn't a joke, the team brought in seven more riders since. The first four riders will be our stagiaires and bring our self-owned Avenir eligible riders to ten. Pluimers (Holland) and Rodriguez (Bolivia) are the regional pick ups, whereas Koide and Örken will be able to level up just by going to Avenir.
Another deal with Indosat saw Wibisono join our ranks and give us some extra firepower in the PT triple clash, whereas a late turn of events saw Ben Turner from Colombini coming to us for the same reason. After having leveled up Andre Alexander Gonzales from level 1 to 3 in our first year, we sold him last year to a team that quickly ceased to exist. We have brought him back on board now, and the Peruvian puncheur goes to Colombini to reach level 4 of his development. Sounds like a fun second part with some cool names, though no world-beaters of course. But nice to bolster your Avenir-squad like this!

Except for one small training coming up (Zepuntke or Zmorka might receive a +1 mt), this is the Los Pollos 2022 PT roster. Hopefully our leaders on all terrains can do just enough to keep us in. If not, then we'll tackle the 2023 PCT with several relatively cheap leaders on every terrain in an attempt to bounce back. But before we get there, let's try and have some fun in PT with the following roster. Not counting stags and loan-ins, 13/20 riders belong to our focus regions.

So many pretty colours
Think the work you did this transfers is something many managers will remember for a long time. Looking at the above post is evidence enough.
Hope Wilco can do much better than with us. Zmorka, Sutterlin and Keizer make for a very good TT setup and beyond. Matti is awesome and there's no two ways about it. Zepuntke is not the greatest but should still be a solid point-scorer. I know you rate Munoz, so hope he lives up to the expectations. Beyond that, there's enough to keep chipping away at the points.
You've done really well to go back-to-back, and really hope you can stay up this season. Really backing you to do that

Massive roster with 23 full-time riders and 4 stagiaires - at least you shouldn't have to worry about not being able to fill some races
It will be interesting to see if you can survive without a top-notch stage racer. GTs can make or break your season, and I can't see the potential for a Top5 finish or so without very weak startlists. Obviously, Munoz and Keizer could be good breakaway riders for a 3rd week - and at least Keizer surely will have races where he'll be among the favorites.
I'm not that worried about all the other races - hills, TTs, cobbles and sprints are all well covered - the question will just be if that's enough to make up for the lack of top stage racers.
Another issue I see is lack of depth. You have 2 79 climbers, but none of the other riders has above 75 Mo. It's even way more extreme in the hills, where a jump from 82 to 73. Same for cobbles, while you at least have got a decent backup sprinter. TTs are the only races where you do have some depth. So every single one of your leaders basically has to overperform if you want to stay up - depth isn't really a thing in your roster this year.
Wait - it actually is - amazing depth of talents in fact! So if you relegate - which I'm afraid isn't an unlikely scenario - at least the future should look pretty good With no rider declining next year (except for the already declined Keizer), you won't have to get a ton of fresh chicken in next time

I like how you're set up. Think you could've used a couple of more attackers for the GTs (alongside Munoz) and definitely 2-3 TT guys to build a great TTT squad around Zmorka (and Keizer), but have a strong squad anyway. The commitment to good leaders on every terrain is a smart approach to strive for WT success, so I approve of what you did with limited numbers. Great job.

I love this built. You did extremely well to get this strong while also making room for some very interesting talents. Imo one of the best transferperformances this season!
I don’t feel like relegation is an option. You have a solid rider for all terrains although some aren’t top level. I was really hoping to somehow pick Zepuntke, but the timing in my flexibility was off. Despite him being one dimensional it was a steal! One thing is the low fee you had to pay, but his wage is also ridicolous!
Counting all riders including loanies 13 Tour de l’Avenir eligeble riders! That must be some sort of record.
