Minor Team Goal – Stage Win(s)
Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey (2. Pro)
Stage 2/6. Kozan – Adana
At this stage my role was to bring bottles to the front and take part in the chase of the breakaway.
We mistimed the sprint a bit, starting late, Kristoffer Halvorsen finished 9th. The stage was won by Alberto Dainese (DSM) in front of teammate Max Kanter.

Stage 3/6. Canakkale - Edremit
Anders Skaarseth joined the morning breakaway of 4 riders.
My role today was to stay with Kristoffer Halvorsen
The breakaway with Anders Skaarseth got more than 12 minutes, it was clear the the stage would be shared amongst them. Anders Skaarseth defended against the early attempts.
Mykhaylo Kononenko (Salcano Sakarya) was a little stronger in the end, Skaarseth finished 2nd, despite all a great result for the team. Ironically Kristoffer Halvorsen won the bunch sprint this time, 5th today.
With this Mykhaylo Kononenko also leads the GC, Anders Skaarseth is 4th, 2'16 behind the race leader. All the race favorites more than 8 minutes behind the GC leader.

Stage 4/6. Balikesir - Bursa
Torstein Træen took part in the morning breakaway. They were caught with about 20 km left.
My most prominent role was being part of our train, leading up to the complex uphill sprint.
We had several options in this mixed finish, Kristoffer Halvorsen the better sprinter, Kristoffer Halvorsen the better puncher, Anders Skaarseth in great form and with a nice mix of both.
Anders Skaarseth clearly strongest today, taking the stage win in front of teammates Kristoffer Halvorsen and Markus Hoelgaard. With Daniel Hoelgaard 6th we had four riders in top ten. I finished 12th.
What a day, celebrations at dinner tonight for sure.

Minor Team Goal – Stage Win(s)
Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey (2. Pro)
Stage 5/6. Bursa - Kartepe
On paper Torstein Træen is the better climber in the squad, but today he does not feel well making me the teams factual leader on this stage. I will be protected all day, and I have a good feeling in my legs, this may be my first chance to show myself in an important race.
The breakaway did not stand a chance on the mountain summit stage. It is Sébastien Reichenbach (FDJ) to become the first major contender to distance the pack. Still more than 10 km to the top. I am sitting at the front of the peloton, still more than 100 riders.
Me and a few other riders are able to close the gap to Sébastien Reichenbach, after that we slow down somewhat, as everyone is cooking at their limit.
The slow pace makes the group grow a little, we are 10 riders together approaching the red kite. The sprint starts just after the red kite.

Amazing win for Anton! No small feat to step in as leader on short notice and deliver a win from the pack on a mountain top finish!

Minor Team Goal – Stage Win(s)
Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey (2. Pro)
Stage 6/6. Sakarya - Istanbul
Although we saw several different breakaway attempts before the only KoM climb, none of them could threaten my jersey, the King of Mountain was mine after yesterdays cat.1 summit win. The race was fast and the breaks never really worried the sprinters.
My role today was first of all to protect Markus Hoelgaard, who would later have an important role setting a fast pace up to the final sprint.
The finish was extremely technical on a very narrow road, Markus Hoelgaard delivered lead-out man Daniel Hoelgaard and our top sprinter Kristoffer Halvorsen (in the points jersey) at the front.
Daniel Hoelgaard first into the final corner, but seemingly Kristoffer Halvorsen lost his wheel. Considering it was slightly uphill, we may have started a bit too early, Davide Cimolai (Israel) coming very fast at the right side.
Cimolai won the stage. Our best was Daniel Hoelgaard 5th followed by Kristoffer Halvorsen 7th.
The last stage was just a minor success, but overall the race was a major success for the team. With two stage wins (Skaarseth/Charmig). Skaarseth 3rd in the GC after his breakaway companion Mikel Alonso lost 8'26 on the mountain stage. Myself 4th in GC after yesterdays win. Also, Kristoffer Halvorsen won the points jersey and I won the King of Mountain and the U25 competition. The team also best team overall.
Agains all odds Ukrainian CT rider Mykhaylo Kononenko won the Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey, clearly his best result to date.

GP Beiras e Serra da Estrela (2.1)
Stage 1/3. Pinhel - Vilar Formoso
In this race, I will be the leader, the squads only focus is my GC. It is a bit worrying though, that the squad are very weak as climber support. Also slightly worried about the cobbled sectors at all three stages although I was told they are not that hard.
Over the last category 3 climb, there is a split. After that I am left with only one domestic riders. The rest of the team never came back although some came close enough to not lose any time.
It turns out to be a very fast hard race, something that suits my climbing skill and great form peak. Although I had no support left, I found a good wheel and sprinted with the best. Finishing 5th on what was actually looking more like a sprinter stage, than something for a climber like me.
Mads Pedersen (Trek) won the stage.

GP Beiras e Serra da Estrela (2.1)
Stage 2/3. Pinhel - Vilar Formoso
After a hard day on this undulated route, I am left alone in the first group of 53 riders, when the first attack comes from the better riders. 18 km left.
I attempt a late attack with less than 2 km left, on the slightly uphill ramp to the finish.
Not the best idea, I exploded and lost 22” to the best 23 riders. The stage was won by Jordi Meeus (BORA). Mads Pedersen (Trek) 2nd today, still leads the GC.

GP Beiras e Serra da Estrela (2.1)
Stage 3/3. Guarda - Penhas da Saude
There was a lot of activity this morning, ending in a breakaway of 18 riders. Over the top of the mid-stage cat.1 only one rider was left in front of the reduced pack, César Nicolás Paredes (Louletano) he had 2’54”
Most of our team was also more than 8 minutes back, but I still had Sindre Kulset to help me in the favourite group of 30 riders.
Kulset was able to support me up to the last climb leading to the finish. The attacks started between the favourites, riders dropping one by one. The decisive move came from Pierre-Luc Périchon (Cofidis) with about 4 km left. I stayed with the pursuit now reduced to 8 riders.
I felt quite good and from about 1,5 km, I decided to accelerate and was able to drop the other riders in my group. I almost caught Périchon and came 2nd, losing just 5”. Ilnur Zakarin 3rd 30” behind the stage leader.
With this result I also came 2nd in the GC and won the U25 classification.

Stage 1/6. Dunkerque - Condé-sur-l'Escaut
A morning breakaway got just above 3 minutes and was no match for a fast peloton. It all ended in a mass sprint finish. We had Idar Andersen as last man for Kristoffer Halvorsen, but other had a better day. Halvorsen finished 4th, Andersen 7th.
The stage was won by Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin) in front of Jordi Meeus (BORA)

Minor Team Goal – Stage Win(s)
4 Days from Dunkirk (2. Pro)
Stage 3/6. Laon - Compiègne
Idar Andersen had very good legs and was able to join today’s breakaway, they did not make it but he scored some KoM points making it 3rd in that competition, although he is 12 points behind the jersey leader.
The race was hard near the end as the peloton had some difficulties reeling back the breakaway. In the chaos Erik Nordsaeter Resell was able to deliver Kristoffer Halvorsen in perfect position, and the latter had, if not perfect, then at least much better legs today.
Kristoffer Halvorsen delivered the demanded stage win to make the sponsors happy. Hugo Hofstetter (Israel) 2nd and Marc Sarreau (AG2R) 3rd.
Johan Price-Pejtersen was down today but made it back quite fast, seemingly without injuries.

Minor Team Goal – Stage Win(s)
4 Days from Dunkirk (2. Pro)
Stage 4/6. Fort Mahon Plage - Le Portel
Idar Andersen and Jonas Iversby Hvideberg attempted to form a breakaway from the beginning, as we had no puncher in the squad. It turned out to be Hvideberg making it into today break.
The pack gave up today, letting the breakaway get way to much time, it was clear that the stage winner and new GC leader would be one from the breakaway. On the very last hill with about 7 km left also Hvideberg was forced to drop, settling with 6th. He lost 2'02”. The pack lost more than 14 minutes. The stage was won by Cyril Lemoine (B&B Hotels) who is also new GC leader.
Johan Price-Pejtersen crashed again, but made it to the line.

Minor Team Goal – Stage Win(s)
4 Days from Dunkirk (2. Pro)
Stage 5/6. Gravelines - Cassel.xls
Due to the strange result from yesterday Jonas Iversby Hvideberg was promoted to race leader, we would support him to get the best possible GC result today. Johan Price-Pejtersen on the first flat section after that Kristoffer Halvorsen.
With 17.3 km left Jonas Iversby Hvideberg was dropped by the favorites
Hvideberg finishes 27th losing 6’10”, that is enough for him to lead the GC, but Joel Suter (Bingoal) is just 10” behind.

Minor Team Goal – Stage Win(s)
4 Days from Dunkirk (2. Pro)
Stage 6/6. Roubaix - Dunkerque
With Jonas Iversby Hvideberg leading the GC, our only goal was to keep it after today and claim the tour win. We instantly send riders to the front to keep a high controlling pace.
The mission was successful, we kept it all together, caught the breakaway and got the mass sprint we wanted. The stage was won by Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin), Jonas Iversby Hvideberg won the overall race with 10” down to Joel Suter (Bingoal)
This race was no less than outstanding for us, with Kristoffer Halvorsen’s stage win and Jonas Iversby Hvideberg’s very surprising GC victory. This might well turn out to be the huge turning point in his career. As you might expect this has a tremendous impact on our sponsors confidence in the team management. Huge party tonight, as the squad has no races the next few days.

Idar Andersen and I, was the best of the rest on the day. Able to follow the favorite group up to the final uphill finish. Competition was hard but at least we both got a top 20 result. Me 18th and Idar 16th. The race was won by Alex Aranburu (Astana)

Major Team Goal – Top 3
Tour of Norway (2. Pro)
Stage 1/6 Drammen – Langesund
With Torstein Træen and Rasmus Tiller both out with injuries. This the main goal of the season, will be a lot harder to achieve for our team leader Markus Hoelgaard. Several supporting riders have been added at the last minute.
To put a bit of pressure of the other teams Erik Nordsaeter Resell attacks early, only one other rider joins, Anders Oddli from Team Coop
The breakaway was over with about 10 km left, Anders Oddli took the overnight KoM lead. It came to a mass sprint, won by Hugo Hofstetter (Israel) in front of Matteo Trentin (UAE) and Louis Bendixen (Team Coop). Our best was Markus Hoelgaard 10th.

Tour of Norway (2. Pro)
Stage 2/6 Kragerø - Rjukan
Very unusual this was a stage without a morning breakaway. The peloton was almost intact even after the late cat. 2 climb. Hoelgaard attacked about 5 km out.
It came to another large group sprint won by Juan José Lobato (Euskaltel) in front of Matteo Trentin (UAE) and Hugo Hofstetter (Israel).
Markus Hoelgaard finished 11th.

Stage 3/6 Rjukan - Geilo
Erik Nordsaeter Resell get into the morning breakaway, although he is just 4th in GC, He fight hard to improve on his 2nd in KoM, but Mirco Maestri (Bardiani-CSF-Faizanè) is the strongest rider in the breakaway and takes 21 points on the stage and the overnight KoM lead.
It comes down to a sprint with almost all the better riders passing the late climb together. Sindre Kulset was meant to be the lead-out for Markus Hoelgaard, but with an amazing fast finish, wins the stage himself.
Markus Hoelgaard is now 8th in GC, Hugo Hofstetter (Israel) lead the race in front of Matteo Trentin (UAE)
