You’ve got to be fucking kidding me. Dunbar just sat up and stopped riding? He’s not even tired like the other dropped riders around him and then makes no effort to come back. He was never going to win the race or anything but that’s proper bullshit. Get absolutely fucked.

Missing the boni seconds twice now, so we'll have to settle for 5th I guess. Maybe we can get a stage win though.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Uran in the "expected" group for him, but that 1'45 time loss is huge...

Decent bounceback. Now lets see how much time Brandle and Keizer can gain on riders ahead

It was nice to see successful attacking and a sizeable gap behind, though I'm not sure why that second group was content to ride in all together and take the time loss, given the wide range of climbing skills left in that group. Obviously commisserations to the guys who continue to get shafted by the AI without seemingly any statistical reason.
For my part, it was an awesome job by Guldhammer to stick with that front 5. He followed the wheels at the perfect time and ends up with a stage podium. With his sprinting ability, I hoped for a second he could win another stage, but I shouldn't get greedy. He's currently holding two jerseys, is 3rd on GC, and has been top 5 the last 3 stages, including a win. I definitely can't ask for more than that. He's done everything I could have wanted and then some.
The MTT will be very interesting from here. Depending on daily form, I think we can take 11 seconds on Latour, but it will be close. Monsalve with his resistance is stronger than Rasmus, but we do have a small time buffer. Same with Oomen, but a bigger buffer that I'm less worried about. Pluchkin seems like the one to beat though. Having better mountain and TT, he should easily be the favorite at this point. I'm glad top 5 seems secure now at least, but a win would be special.
So, we're all in for tomorrow. Do the best we can. Unless we win, I'm not sure we can keep the points jersey, and I'm also not sure what the KOM situation is at the finish. But we're in a very nice spot, and we should be in for a good haul here.

Thank you for another report, and the consistency you provide!
Not a big surprise to see Galta come home in the group 1’45 behandling, unfortunately. It looks like he simply isn’t good enough to challenge for top 5s or more in the PCT, which I must admit is disappointing.
Though, the GC is still somewhat close, meaning a brilliant day in the MTT can do a lot of good for his race here. We will never stop hoping |

Fantastic win!
I don´t believe Latour will maintain the lead in the MTT, Pluchkin must be clear winner here. Other podium spots are open, good daily form will be the key.
I´m also pleased Bernal will take another white jersey. Just a pity, Dunbar had really terrible day today and lost this battle without a real fight.
Thanks for the report!

Hoped much better than 3 between 15th and 20th in the GC at this stage. Penasa hasn't started his season well after two races and needs to improve quickly. The support did fine I think. Zoidl with a nice KOM hunting ride yesterday should give us some extra points.
Thanks for the great reports red

Oomen not as good as he was in other races, so now I'm kinda happy we had that top 5 secured already.

Good job by Gesink to defend his 6th place in the end. Barbio's escapade may have hindered his chances of a top5, but we never had any real chance of controling the race for Gesink on stage 4.
Pluchkin has done it again it seems. Can't stop himself from doing these things this guy. Congrats fj. Very good race from Latour as well, well done beagle!
Thanks for all the reports red, superb pace!

Very good Uran today, shame the GC jump is minimal with such small gaps

Well done by Pluchkin to claim both stage victory and GC victory.
Have to be honest, I'm not happy with Galta here. It seems like he really struggles in the PCT in this game. This turned out to be basically a no-pointer for us, which isn't what I hoped for when I picked the team. We can only go again at the next opportunity, and cross fingers for a better experience for our leader. |

Pluchkin win was very predictable. Guldhammer did pretty well. Not excellent, but good enough. I think the first part was a bit flatter than I surmised, so TT was a bit more important than I expected. Given that, Rasmus did a good job to finish 6th and solidify his GC podium. 3rd is a very good result here, especially given all the other places we get points. A little disappointing to lose 2nd based on the extra seconds Guldhammer lost for dropping off our team in the TTT, but I guess you can't think like that.
It's unfortunate to lose the points jersey though. Since we had the extra sprint top 5, I kind of figured we had a good grip on that, but Pluchkin was just too strong in the end. We'll settle for the KOM jersey.
Interested to see if we go for Bouglas tomorrow, Guldhammer tries, or we just coast home. I'd prefer the first two, but I shouldn't get greedy.

Kalaba ever so close but you can't have anything.
Overall not the worst race ever, just a mediocre TTT which put Uran out the top ten.
Congrats fjhoekie and thanks redordead!

Great reporting, thanks red.
Happy with 8th/9th. Denifl and Bongiorno were never going to shoot the lights out in terms of points, but given their hefty RD this is exactly what I hoped they would accomplish.
