Nice try by Manarelli, but I guess the sidewalk cobbles slowed him down a bit! Can't win every stage eh  Good to see we keep going for the breakaway action, I hope we're in there as well tomorrow, with there being a slightly higher chance of the break surviving (although I suppose the peloton will reel them in quite easily again).

Very strong sprint by AKA considering he got to top speed on sidewalk cobblestones. 
For what it's worth, this really was one of Kragh Andersen's better races this season. Sprinted every day, got a top 5 and a podium to finish it out. When you consider that he's sharing the squad with out GC guys, it's honestly fine. It's a decent performance and one we'll at least get a few points from. Unfortunately, it just doesn't match what you expect when you look at his OVL compared to his peers, and it's not good enough to pull up the rest of his season.
But hey, maybe's there's still some hope for decent performances late in his season. It would definitely be nice.

There has never in the history of MG been a stupider performance by a team than what I just witnessed. What were we doing?
Christian Bertilsson is fired yesterday. Does nothing the whole freaking year and then pulls that one out? What the actual hell? He grinds the pack down and forces a huge selection only to then let our GC guy lose 30 second for no freaking reason! For what, so he could win the sprint for 11th place? That's not even a scoring position. It's not even a top 10. If he wanted to play for the stage and sprint, then don't work all day. If he's gonna be a domestique, then drop back for Larry! The combination of decisions he actually made are just inexplicable. Crashes must be secretly turned on, cause he is clearly concussed. Losing time at all here sucks when Larry has strong hill and flat, but seeing Bertilsson ride ahead after how unbelievably terrible he's been all year was just infuriating.
That's a huge dent in our GC chances as we're now out of reach of the podium and in all likelihood the top 5. Pinot will pass us in the TTT, and we could theoretically slip to 10th if our not great TTT squad underperforms. The only consolation is that Eg finished with Warbasse and moves up to 13th.
I will say though, it was an exciting stage and a great report. Happy for Glanbia and Haas, who has certainly been more useful this year than he was with us.

wow, that was out of the blue. Haas has done nothing all year.
2 Stage wins in this race means I've won twice as many stages here as I have all year. Craddock sneaking into top 10 would be icing on the cake

Damn, stupid stuff by Los Pollos as well, finally Marquez was doing well, then this happens. All the others also minutes behind, so yeah, stupid. Happy for Glanbia though, well done by Haas Thank you for the report, red, now we just have to try and limit the damage in the TTT!

We didn't do much. Just kept Keinath safe all through. We gain a place in the GC, which is nice, but unfortunate for Marquez and Los Pollos. Marquez has an all too familiar history of performances like these.

Messy, messy stage. Happy not to have lost time, but we still have a lot to make up to get Pinot on the podium. Considering we came here to win, it's a bit disappointing but Reguigui and Russom are in the points so that is some consolation.
Pity for Marquez as it was nice to see him performing. Congrats Glanbia! Nice win by Haas that.

Not a bad TTT for us at all, around where we expected. It definitely sucks to lose the millisecond TT countback in the official results though, as it both moved us off the stage podium and out of the GC top 5.
The time loss yesterday was just really unfortunate. Without it, Larry would have finished on the podium and above Keinath. Instead, we're 6th. Very disappointing to lose so many points on pure insanity and incompetence, but it happens sometimes. Today at least kept us 6th, and moves Eg up to a really nice 12th place. He's been pretty strong the last few races, and it's very nice to see.
Congrats to Carrefour on continuing their utter domination of CT this year. Just super well rounded and all their guys are clicking. Thank you also to redordead, who continues to carry the CT division reporting on his back race after race!
I believe that's the end of Warbasse's season. Not the strongest finish after yesterday, but overall I couldn't have asked for more from him. Very lucky for him to have been as impressive and consistent as he was. It's been more than crucial to our promotion chances.

Lost too much time to Carrefour, didn't gain enough on Sauber, so third it is 
Still, at the start that's as good as it would've got. No catching Carrefour, so congrats Maxime. We've done well here, so can't complain too much.

All in all, a disappointing tour. We had a real shot at winning, but only ended up 4th. We were top favourites for 3 different stages and didn't win one.
Great win for Carrefour though with Novak flying under the radar. Congrats!
