Senni is really doing it for us this season, makes me regret I trained Cerny instead of him.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Very very weird that we paced for so much of the stage. I'm really not sure what we were planning. Whatever it was, we sure didn't do it. Warbasse didn't look too bad, but then cracked hard at the end to lose more time than I would have liked. The position itself isn't too frustrating, although some of the names ahead are.
We're still in 12th though with an outside shot at a top 10, which is satisfactory in the big picture. We need a good performance by Appo now to really up the energy.
Thanks for a great report!

Happy to see Nerz in the top 10, hope the TT doesn't make a big dent in that!
Thanks for the great reports Kent.

Nice enough day out for Davison, if we're not scoring at least we're visible - and hopefully we can catch a flat breakaway again on Stage 6 which would seem to have a decent chance for the win if the peloton are tired.

6th place from Mezgec is okay, so it won't be a zero point race after all
Hmm, now we have Seibeb on 11 KOM pts and Petrovski on 10 pts. Not ideal to have points shared between 2 riders, since both have so few. The only upside I guess is we now have 2 options for the big climbs tomorrow.
Thanks for the report Kent and congrats to Delvaux on another win

OK, calm day for us... A bit disappointed that Stocker didn't even try to sprint, but well, PCM just doesn't consider a 76 Spr sprinter to be a sprinter
Let's try again tomorrow, where chances of getting something should be much higher anyway. Thanks for the report!

A highly unexpected win, but I'll take it! I expected this race to be a zero-pointer, but it's instead turning out to be one of our best races in a good while.
Next stage looks like a good stage for a breakaway. Hoping Bonnin will be allowed to go again!

So out of all the sprinters we have here, we go for Louis Verhelst?
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

I guess I can't be disappointed anymore when this is just par for the course. I should be grateful Appo even sprinted into 4th.
No idea what tomorrow holds. It'd be cool to get someone in the break as that seems like a likely outcome.

Solid from Bonnin once again! Should probably have waited for the sprint this time, given that he's not very strong on the flat, but can't fault him for his effort. Nice to lead the mountain classification, which I hope we can defend on the next stage.

I feel like that was the kind of stage riders like Geschke used to thrive on back in the day.
Not losing time in the split is really good for both my riders, now there's just 1 chance left for Slagter to improve his position before he loses lots of time in the TT, at least Ranaweera who is gunning for the youth jersey and currently better placed should do well enough to hold his spot.
Also nice to see fellow Swiss team Centovalli pick up the stage win through Masnada, their riders really worked that well and got the pay off for it.

Uran surviving the slight hill at the end, I'm more worried about the final hill tomorrow though

Wow, what a result! Masnada obviously loves our "big" races - KoM jersey in Romandie, and now a stage win and green jersey for one day in Austria, rounded off by Manfredi's 6th place today - this race is already more than a success for us!
The only letdown is the huge loss of time on the first stage, but it's probably just this gap that allowed him to get into the breakaways on stages 2 and 4. Now, even a Top 20 GC result seems to be within reach, especially given that Masnada's among the Top 15 puncheurs in this race, so hopefully he'll keep up with the best tomorrow. By the way, he'll need a PT loan-out next year
Really happy to see Gamper in the breakaway in his home race. And obviously Manfredi did a huge job, chasing down Fabbro and bringing Masnada into that great position. Great teamwork!
Thanks for the report, Kent! Obviously, it's always nice to read when you win, but I particularly like your km indications, so we always know where we are in the race. I don't like copying from others, but that one could be really helpful

That was absolutely a stage we needed. Seeing Fabbro getting pipped on the line like that was very tough. But from a 17 rider move, how can I complain? 2nd is some points - more than I expected - and that's basically all that matters. I'm glad he didn't get completely swamped. It makes sense the team with multiple riders would out finesse him anyway. Plus he moves into 5th in U25 and 4th in KOM, which is something, however minor. Would be cool for him to attack tomorrow too, although I doubt he will.
Warbasse finishing at the front of the group in 12th is also a good omen for the hill stage tomorrow I hope. Hopefully he can gain a little on the pure mtn/TT stage racers there, although obviously I don't have any delusions he'll stay with the first few guys.
Thanks for the report Kent! It was great!

Nice to see both Bouglas and Barbio on the mix for stage results with two 5ths. It's a shame though this last mountainous stage didn't have any effect on the final result. Now that hilly stage looks even more dreadful.
Nice to see Centovalli taking a win. A deserving one.
Beautiful reports so far!

Saulo Lay's podium was a highlight for us, as well as De La Cruz hanging on the peloton today. The next stage will prove important to the outcome.
Really exciting race, thanks for the reports! |

Martin definitely doing fine always racing hard, but the GC is awfully close besides number uno, so still a lot can happen still. Fingers crossed.
Thanks for another great report.
