My bad, thought I read somewhere he won a tour stage but naturally that wasnt the case at Bora. Alas, if he signs with Quick Step it is just a matter of time.

Within 12 kilometres of the finish and the Vuelta may be at it again. Wind is up a bit and the peloton is being split apart. The GC boys better hope they haven't been caught napping again, like in the TdF.

So what will happen today? First mountain top finish, and the climb is quite hard.
But will we have the favourites going at it, or the typical first summit of Vuelta stage, where a completelly random guy will win? |

Thought it might be Polanc on Etna situation where nobody cares but surely the climb is too hard for that? Maybe some minor-ish GC climbers (or someone who lost time already) get to go for the stage win and the favourites watch each other until the final 1.5km (where Geraint Thomas sprints away like it's the madison and makes a mockery of the entire history of Alpe d'Huez)?
