We’re not getting any closer to miraculous unexpected points but I do appreciate the effort of Zingle to attack and take the initiative! Not sure if these attacks have meant he is throwing away a Top 20 GC but I don’t think so.

After an anonymous start Kraftwerk are making a go of it with Flugel's consistent top 10 finishes leaving him in 8th in GC and Paulus having a great day in the break gabbing armfuls of mountain points.
Somehow we are 3rd in the team competition, hope we can hang on.
TGV is liking this part of the world!

I'm sorry this stage turned out to be a shitshow for some managers. I have no clue what happened to Skujins and the others, they just dropped and made no effort whatsoever to get back.

Nice ride by Moscon, from being dropped early on he returned to a decent placing, top 25 GC and 2nd in the U25.

Very, very good from Vakoc! Didn't expect him to be this solid, and especially not on this stage, as that looked like a very mountainous climb kicking off the decisive part of the stage.
But Beltran... That's another disappointment, and now it's starting to become really annoying, I must admit. Especially when everything looked to be going well, with him making the cut on the climb. Then getting dropped without really making an effort, is just a pity. Only one chance left this season for a result then, I guess. And that's not Tasmania or Lombardia, but Tour du Maroc, where I once again will hope he makes use of his combined hill/mountain stats.
And thank you for the report, Marcovdw! I definitely enjoyed it, eventhough I didn't enjoy Beltran's performance  |

Thanks for the great reports and the great pace Marco, it has been a really entertaining race to follow. Especially this stage, I think this is by far Trofimov's best performance of the season. Attacking, chasing, and ending up 3rd is far more than I've seen from him so far. I'm very pleased.

Holy craaap! So happy with Lutsenko's performance! I thought the top 5 goal was impossible but this win makes this feat incredibly close.
though the final stage is probably the hardest for him with his relatively weak stamina stat, so I'll have to keep my fingers crossed. Thank you for the reports so far marco

Ginanni keeps on doing average at best. But the team effort has actually become even better, now crowding the top 30 with 6 riders and leading the TC. Hope we can bring this situation home in the last stage.
