A very anonymous race from us so far. Herklotz taking the spotlight as we're used to by now. Congrats cio!

Now that is a pleasant surprise! Didn't expect Bayly to go for breakaways here, since he is supposed to support Morton. Obviously it's great that he denied my thoughts and just went for a rare solo victory. We ain't famous for stage wins, so every lucky breakaway win feels pretty great thanks to the wind and to the peloton for taking things easy today!
Cameron Bayly, you beauty.

It took them till Stage 5, but now they lead two classifications Who says Evonik don't like races with climbs?

knockout employing the classic "complain until you succeed" strategy, you can shut up now
Congrats tsmoha, you surely deserved this!
Silvio with a Top 10 that could have significant impact in the green jersey fight in the end.
It shouldn't be possible to keep the jersey against Amador in the TT, but I hope the extra motivation (and maybe the slight PRL stat influence) will help him put a few seconds into Schleck, Dombrowski and Morton.

What a win, congrats tsmoha.
Sitting in a good place right now, I'm happy being 11 seconds back. I don't think we're in good enough position for the win considering time bonuses, but it would be cool to wear the jersey after the TT.
Great work Aquarius, this has been a really enjoyable race.

A race to forget for us, but always nice to see Bayly attacking. He wins atleast once every season

Congratulations, tsmoha! Definitely a surprise win, especially as he made it solo all the way. Admittedly an underwhelming sprint by Vesely, which is easier to forget as it wasn't for the stage win. And I'm still happy with his race here, having won stage 1.
Now it's fingers crossed for consistent, good racing by Guldhammer! |

Good stage for us ahead of the last trio of climbing days. Hopefully MAchado can retain a place around 7-8th, that would be good.
Pretty close affair for the stage win. Congrats Oleg, nice victry with Malori!

Content with our second place in TTT and Kangert's sprint podium. Also Bibby doing well in GC. Curious to see whether he can prevent dropping down too much in the last two stages.

Ahhh that really hurts to come so close, would have really loved to win that stage. Ouch. But congrats to Oleg. Nice performance from Amador, but he will have ample opportunity to squander his lead in the mountains.

Nearly missed stage 5 - what a pleasant surprise
Mansilla surprises with the 2nd place and Egger does what i always expect to see from my climbers and what his job is this season. Love it!

Huh? I was screwed out of a stage win by a loan breakaway rider who succeeded to stay away. Clearly i didnt complain enough

Hell yeah!
Although both jerseys will be up for grabs with two summit finishes and a tough multi mountain passes stage. But hopefully at least Egger will join those breaks again if he has the jersey attacker bonus...
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Not too special from Dempster, but Morton had a solid ride. Which is more important. Still not too optimistic about his chances for the crucial days, but as said before, he know has something to fight for (Top-5) and has no reason to sit up.
Leading the team's classification for another day is a nice minor bonus. Hope we can keep it somehow.

A time loss had to be expected, and it seems to have been an okayish TT by Guldhammer, ending it where he probably belongs. Hopefully he has something saved for the upcoming hilly stage, which I must admit I have expectations for, as it should suit him really, really well, having an uphill similar finish to his Giro stage win.
It will also be interesting to see if the leader's jersey can help Amador on the hills compared to wunderkind Herklotz. |

Had hoped for better, but still top 20, so pretty decent. Excited to see the tougher stages now.

I can only hope that the plan was to save energy for the HC climbs on the next stage...

Glad to not lose time to Herklotz and Schleck, but Machado is now in a scary position. Congrats to gustav, it is nice to see Machado win.

I absolutely love what Janvier Hadi did there. Might be the best shot of our team this season with those two in their beautiful jerseys stringing it out.
I absolutely hate what happened after.

Well, Dekker had a pretty perfect race until this stage...losing that much time is simply too much even for a rider not as strong as the very best.
Back to the low pointers I guess as the upcoming two stages not looking good for any improvement.
At least Boom gave it a nice fight for the stage evne though he obviously had liked a downhill finish. |

Yeah, Morton doing his usual business. Well, maybe he can somehow gain time in the mountains
