Another super exiting stage and brilliant report, thanks again to roturn.
Congrats to Kentaurus with the stage, breakaway under these conditions not easy but a few crash and puntures and a strong rider in front turned out to be a great idea.
Congrats to Scorchio with the overall, surprise to see Harrison take it but not World Cycling Centre, had Bush as the most likely winner.
My team did more than expected, with two time 2nd and 5th in GC. Perfect to watch Verbist realising his lack of sprint and go from the distance.
Not a bad final stage for us, shame we threw away the GC on the opening stage.
Really can't find a positive out of this one when we should have got a top 10 GC out of it, I don't like the extended bonus seconds here, looks like they helped screw over guys like Grand in favour of sprinters, especially when you look at the startlist and stage favourites list both being dominated by sprinters and not the cobblers. I think that's why Grand was poorly placed and dropped on stage 1, as PCM saw it as a sprinters race every day.
That would also explain the passive racing when cobbles are normally full of action from the favourites.
Shame we missed out on Harrison in the transfer window, him and Thwaites would have been a great tag team for the cobbled season!!! We are satisfied with 3rd overall, we had some decent placements throughout the races so we bagged a healthy amount of points so we cant complain

Good intent from VDB throughout, love that breakaway move on stage 3 though to be honest he should have stuck with Richardson and gone for a very good GC placing. Overall a shyte race for us to cap off a poor May

A bit of an anti-climax on the last stage but a decent race for us. Came here hoping for a podium from Drucker but three riders in the top 10 makes up for missing that. Decent from Matzka on the last stage too. Krieger and Bogdanovics still not convincing though...
Congrats Scorchio and thanks for the reports roturn
Was surprised that the final stage did not blow up more (i.e. as last year), but Mr Harrison secured enough bonus seconds to hold on to his GC lead which was all we wanted! That is our two sponsor WIN goals both secured now by young Sam, when to be honest had more expectation that Bush would be the most likely to deliver. Harrison has had a storming few months and was really quite a dominant figure here (as also in De Panne, so seems to like the short cobbled stage races!).
Thanks for the reports, congrats, and competition. Philips with 3 in the top 10 had a very good outing too, but with Harrison securing yellow, points and the U25 jersey, this brings us a big ppRD haul with minor back up by Bush as a little extra bonus.
