@Ian Butler & sutty68: Not quite sure what I can do about that. I think that's just a part of how this story is going to be. The good news is, I guess, is that I don't see this as a story that could go on forever. I have a rough idea about how this will end, whether that's at 30 entries, 50, 75... That's up to the reader's and those providing input.
Like always, I do have recap system (The Vault) in the first post linking to all the entries if that can help a little bit in re-reading stuff. And at least the updates won't ever be super long, so it hopefully it shouldn't take too long to refresh your memory.

Entry #6 | April 7, 2016: Analyzation with Trainer Iwan Spekenbrink
Note: Breaking down earlier season results.
Date | Tour | Stage | Result | GC | 4-Mar | Driedaagse van West | 1 - Flat IT (11.8kms) | 173, +1'42" | 173, +1'42" | 5-Mar | Driedaagse van West | 2 - Flat Cob (155.7kms) | 98, +1'14" | 132, +2'48" | 6-Mar | Driedaagse van West | 3 - Flat (168.4kms) | 174, +0" | 132, +2'48" |
Well, we found out you can't time trial or last on the cobbles. That's about all I can decipher out of that. No worries, you'll build up strength over time. I'll add a few more one-on-one workout sessions to your schedule as well because I know team workout days must be complicated for you.
Date | Tour | Stage | Result | GC | 10-Mar | Istrian Spring Trophy | 1 - Flat IT (6.7kms) | 97, +41" | 97, +41" | 11-Mar | Istrian Spring Trophy | 2 - Hilly (157.7kms) | 60, +1'47" | 61, +2'11" | 12-Mar | Istrian Spring Trophy | 3 - Hilly (164kms) | 59, +1'00" | 46, +2'58" | 13-Mar | Istrian Spring Trophy | 4 - Flat (139.8kms) | 91, +0" | 44, +2'58" |
The recovery on short rest is quite promising here. Second highest finisher in GC on the team behind leader Peter Lenderink is nothing to scoff at. Well done.
Date | Tour | Stage | Result | GC | 31-Mar | Le Triptyque Monts | 1 - Flat Cob (175.9kms) | 19, +1'09" | 19, +1'19" | 1-Apr | Le Triptyque Monts | 2 - Flat IT (9.3kms) | 66, +27" | 22, +1'24" | 2-Apr | Le Triptyque Monts | 3 - Flat (84.5kms) | 49, +0" | 22, +1'34" | 3-Apr | Le Triptyque Monts | 4 - Flat Cob (158.9kms) | 11, +25" | 7, +2'11" |
Wipe that smirk off your face, you're not getting out of our extra weight lifting sessions I suggested earlier. It's a nice result, give yourself a pat on the back. I knew there was a reason Arthur gave you this opportunity. You'll be getting kisses from podium girls in no time, won't you?

Interesting picture we can start to decipher after 6 entries, seems like Alex is doing pretty well occasionally, surely some natural talent and learning the ropes of pro racing, even if this is still very hard to work out what is going on
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

I’m still in utterly confusion, got at least 3 different scenarios in my head, but betting they are all wrong.

@jandal7: I'm doing my job then. Eventually, over time, someone will put all the pieces together and figure it out. At least I hope.
@Tamijo: You never know. Pretty crazy you have been able to come up with three possible scenarios already. Let's see how many survive after the next update.

Is this turning into some classics version of Andy Schleck? Still quite unpredictable to see where this is going, but it does keep me interested

Entry #7 | April 16, 2016: Observation with Podium Girl April Jansen
Note: Backstage at podium ceremony of the U23 Liege-Bastogne-Liege.
Cyclists like to remember the firsts, from the first race to that first podium kiss.
Well, today happened to be a first for me. I was stood up.
We waited and waited at the podium stand, but the cyclist never showed up. This had never happened before. By the time his manager showed up to accept his award and explain the situation, the crowd had already dispersed.
To be fair, spectators and the media normally don't really care about who wins the consolation Most Aggressive Rider of the Day award anyways.
But still, it was quite awkward. The Rabobank manager explained that his cyclist wasn't feeling too good and was being looked after by their team doctor.
I just stepped out of the way and let the race organizers handle it.
After being in the breakaway all day and coming so close to winning would make me sick to my stomach as well. He deserved better than an 11th place and a meaningless award. Perhaps a kiss on the cheek would have cheered him up?

Ian's post made me understand that it really was from the point of view of the podium girl - wondered what you want to tell us but there it is

The trainer told you that you had nothing to do in the cobbles, but a month later you finish in the top10 on a race with 2 stages which had cobbles
I think everyone is sure that Alex would have been better if he was kissed by the podium lady

It's a really nice twist to have the story being told by the people around the protagonist instead of by himself, great idea! The mystery only adds to the pleasure, I have one or two theories of my own, but I'll take my time

@Ian Butler: Thanks. I'm always trying to think of new ways to make stories interesting. Happy this one worked. Lucky enough, I got to practice with the multiple POVs with 'The Two of Us' so some of the inspiration came from that.
@Croatia14: Better late than never to catch on. Every update comes from a different vantage point and the person giving the update is at the top of the post. Hence the name of the story.
@Aquarius97: Ah, somebody did catch that rapid cobbles improvement. Alex takes a lot of pride in proving the doubters wrong.
@jandal7: Cheers. Alex is getting there, but still a long ways to go.
@cunego59: Hey, haven't seen you around in a while. Glad you like it. I like how everybody has their theories, but everybody keeps waiting for more clues. The biggest hints are in the tiny details.
@Tamijo: That's one way to look at it, or... I've said too much.

Entry #8 | December 13, 2015: Column by Journalist Mike Daily
Note: Opinionated column for magazine Procycling.
DAILY: And another one bites the dust
Rabobank out, cycling continues to evolve and adapt post PEDs
The bombshell was dropped a few days. Yet, nobody was really surprised.
Rabobank had enough, they were pulling out of cycling for good. They stuck with it as long as they could - three years after removing their sponsors from the Pro Tour men's team. But, the last remains of the development team and the women's team will be no more after next season.
The downfall of what could have been a dynasty, will be remembered for the era they raced in. The performance enhancing drug era.
In a sense, the departure of Rabobank closes a chapter. A time in history that will be filled with asterisks and voided results. A dark age for cycling.
We have now entered the next generation. When remarkable results are clouded with PEDs accusations. If it's too good to be true, then it must be.
Fans and spectators are out for blood. And it's hard to blame them.
What's the point of clean racing if there is still just a select number of cyclists who dominate the sport? You can only watch Chris Froome breeze up a mountain so many times before it starts to (1) get boring and/or (2) you begin to question the legitness of such a feat.
For those that lived through the PED era, this skepticism is just ingrained in us now and the sport is suffering because of it. We are getting to the point where cyclists are guilty and need to prove they are innocent.
How do we change this mindset? Is it even a fixable problem at this point?
I don't know. But, a good place to start would be finding a new face for the sport because Froome just isn't cutting it.
We need a superstar who on the surface is believable and relatable. Someone people cheer for instead of against. Someone who injections fun and excitement back into the sport. And, most of all, someone who can do all of that without everyone crying cheater.
Cycling needs a savior.

Hmmm
Another nice episode and obviously wondering if Alex will give cycling their saviour But first he needs to find a team and a way out with a good contract
Funny that that anti-doping reporter wants someone to injections fun and excitement back

So Alex signed a contract with a team that will disband at the end of the season. Well, looking at Entry #1, it was already told there
Let's hope that Alex can find a team, even Lotto Jumbo are not interested in him. Maybe Roompot could be his next step, who knows...

@jandal7: The irony is rich. Time will tell if Alex will become the savior or just another face in the peloton.
@Aquarius97: Yep, that's correct. Rabobank is no more after the 2016 season. The hunt for a new team will be at the forefront of the story very soon. Everybody likes some good transfer drama.

Another nice twist, as others have said a bit hard to follow the “Pulp Fictional” timeline, I’m fine now but in 20 post I guess I’ll be utterly confused
