Half of my race planning is already pre planned depending on whether we get the races we need or not so hopefully we do

Assume that you will get the HC race, and leave that amount of RDs left over in your C1/C2 selection. Then if you dont get the HC race you can pick an alternative C1/C2 race afterwards.
