It's not only look stunning, it is !!!!!!
The villages are just masterpieces of details. This is how villages should look like and it enhances the joy of racing through them.
From the start in Pinerolo, one after the other villages (even a distance away from the route) is built up with great care. One can see how big difference it is to build IB villages on this kind of hilly stage instead of auto-villages. Auto-villages gets those pesky strange walls and getting really ugly in some cases.
This is a nice example to study when setting up hill-side villages ....
I guess this is as close we can come to watch a TV-broadcast.

The only stage featuring sterrato is the 8th one. Unfortunately, apart from a 2nd category climb Alpe di Poti, which is partly unpaved, there is not much climbing to be done after the recent change of course due to poor road quality.

For this stage I used stages 18 and 19 from Leon's Giro, which means that about half of the stage is significantly more detailed than the rest.

Exciting that this might get finished before the real Giro is finished.

Stage 6 has had to undergo an update. Due to landslides last year, the first climb to Torrecuso has been scrapped from the course, and replaced by a few flat kilometers first.
