Without knowing too much about him, Pinot seems to me as being a bit to "weak minded" to be a top contender (and athlete, for that matter). He might be dedicated as hell, but he seems to be all too easy influenced and thrown "out of his game" by incidents that we all know can occur.
I'm not saying that you should just brush off something like that, it might be a horrible thing to witness, but also when it comes to things such as downhills he doesn't seem to have the mental strenght to become a true contender.

Thibaut Pinot beeing afraid yesterday is natural after what he saw. Wasn't a stage that suited him anyway. I think he will be fighting with the best when the longer mountains comes around. I think he will be around 6th when the tour is over.
For this stage I hope for Kristoff but Kwiatowski is imo in great shape and will get the win if he rides for his own chances.

Definitely think Froome could keep the jersey today as he has such a strong team to help him.

And even if he was in great form, he would not still be a top10 candidate for a stage like this...

Watch QS fuck this up again. Stagewin, secondary GC, yellow jersey... so many strong riders, yet so little to show so far. Main goal should be Martin, but I could see a few riders winning today as well, will be interesting. If they fuck it up today, Kirchen isnt allowed to mock Sagan anymore, at least this Tour.
Hoping Sagan is allowed to go, the guy is godlike. So heres to hope Kreuziger and Bennati do well today, a stage win will make Peter happy, Tinkoff as well and put some pressure off Contador, at least for now.
If its like Pinots best buddy, I fully understand it when he also in the past have had fear to go downhill. To see something like that happen things like those kinda fears might pop onto the surface as well. Cant imagine him having a very good time now.
Looking forward for today, so many scenarios. So far, I have actually been surprised of how relatively few crashes, I had honestly expected more, especially on the Zelande-stage. |

I predict Quintana to crash and lose precious time.
I root for Tejay this Tour and it could be hard for him today, however so far he's been on level with Contador and looks sharp as ever.
GvA being able to take the yellow jersey is also possible and also exciting to see how better Nibali is than the other favorites ^^

That's a funny way to spell Degenkolb.

Kwiatowski was the most active at stage 2 in the side wind and yesterday he rode wery well for Martin into Muur de Huy, then took it easy up the hill. But if you have information that he is in horrible form, please tell me. |

Horrible form is definetely too harsh, he is not 100%, but has been decent so far, especially on that stage you mention. |

You know it's TdF-time when you read an article about the NASA-probe to Pluto, see a comment that says "I wish Sagan was here to see this", and you think "Wow, I didn't know Sagan was into space-stuff".

I agree, but he would be big favourite for today even in great form.

Of the guys not mentioned yet I think Tony Gallopin has a chance to go into yellow today finishing the same time as Sagan and GVA is a big ask obviously but he was 6th in E3 last year
for the stage win hard to see past Degenkolb |

I will mock Movistar everytime they will miss the split on echelons |

Westra in the breakaway (with De Gendt, Quémeneur and Brun) Nibali has a plan
