We keep falling on the ranking but we are safe so we can start thinking about the next season. The rest of our racing days will be just for our enjoyment.

O points for the month - oh wait, 0 RD's, phew!
Still in a strong 3rd position, and the RD's accumulated no longer count against us in projections. Confident now of achieving top 5 sponsor goal committed to at the start of the season. Will be pleased if we can stay top 3, and ecstatic if we finish any higher. Looks likely will be a close run thing between Bonsucro, ONCE and ourselves for the top spot.
Excellent job from the respective reporters for the speed of output through September, flew by!

.... We're going down. Hello CT, and all the South American teams!
You do realise that there is a good chance a large proportion of the existing CT South American teams are bound for the PCT in 2015 (Bonsucro, ourselves, our Central American compadres at ONCE (assuming they are still based in Cost RIca, and haven't relocated to Spain when no one was looking!), and likely Azteca with a bit of luck).
It's not that we all saw you coming or anything
In reality I think you've been a bit unlucky this year; in the transfer season you brought in some good leaders, but the depth below looked lacking from the off. You'll be in a good position to set yourself up to bounce straight back up though. You can then wave to use as we likely yo-yo back down

Quick PCT update after Torino and Philadelphia.
Quickstep are certainly champions now, Heineken only have a weak Emilia squad remaining. Gazelle pull away from La Vie Claire in 8th. Metinvest close on the Top 10. Kazzinc edge past Kappa. Amex push into the Top 15. Puma move level with Swedbank, with Meiji not far behind. Kenya make a small gain on all those below them.

We need to score 74 points MORE than Hornbach. That is a challenge but we've done it before and i see no reason why we can't do it again!!!

Still looking good for third. Guess we "need" some serious underperforming or bad luck from Bobridge and Goss to f***k this up now

Trying to get caught up with the current situation. Right now it looks like there will be at least six teams relegated or dropping from the PT, and as Jaguar is SN and won't be promoted, the teams in the 8-10 range are fighting for position in case more go?
Is that right?

Well the top six are pretty much confirmed as we currently have 5 up + 1 for disbanding Lotto. There is a one or two PT teams who did not pick riders for worlds and/or nationals and there has been some disappointment at the activity of some of the not likely to be relegated PT teams. I do suspect Gazelle may get a look in - but may not. There is a definate gulf there - so could be tricky for a team like that to convert to PT as there is with all promoted teams.
So yeah Top 6 certainly. I'd love to see Gazelle, La Vie Claire and metinvest up there too. Active managers who have had a storied time in the ManGame and some success. There is some question marks about Team B and O at the moment.
At the other end PCT to CT - there is some mid range PCT's who look set to disband along with probably one maybe two of the relegated PT teams. Certainly the top 10 of the CT I think could well promote - if their own activity passes the test. Actually it could even go right down to 12th there - it may be a question of whether Boeing can get past the inactive Hornbach for a place perhaps.
Certainly all the play for really.

Thanks a lot Smowz, exactly what I was looking for.
The end of the season in the man-game always reminds me of why doing a straight promotion/relegation system in actual pro cycling would get really hairy, with the short lifespans of many teams making things finicky.

Ain't no doubt about it! We ARE going to pass the LONG TERM INACTIVE Hornabch team, i am too stubborn to be relegated in 26th with them less than a race win ahead (as it stands)

I like the look of that table, we look pretty likely to be 9th or 10th. Hopefully we'll be the highest placed non-promoting team |

You should get the folks at Skunk Works to fix you up one of those BB motors folks were claiming Cancellara had a few years back...
EDIT: Wait, wrong US aerospace company...well, whatever the hell Boeing's R&D department is.

Well Kazzinc in 13th looks reasonable, but I haven't said anything...

Too close to call. We have a gap but those behind us have more race days. Torino was good for us and puts us very close to survival but we need Ben Nasser to get points in Beijing and Japan to get us over the line.
Promotion looks pretty much decided, unless Venchi can spring a surprise. Not sure how many race days Van Staeyen has left if any.
Thanks for the update SN. |

Seeing as I will be relying on Dowsett, it should be an easy fight for you

Hehe, true. You never know though; the lad might get a last minute form boost, just like Weening did.

Wow, so close for the title in CT! Not only are thosetwo last stage races gonna be decisive for the title race, but Utah and RCN are also my two last goal race, with Clasico RCN being my only win goal for the year!
I cant wait!

You should have that spot settled, as you have some nice gap to us and other teams between LVC and Metinvest have so few race days. Funny that before the season, i was expecting something like fighting LVC for 8-10th spot and it almost become reality after after horrible first half of the year for Metinvest.
Now i rely on Hoffman and Raboň only for the rest of race days. They have some very good form in recent weeks, so hopefully they can earn some points.
