Another good ride from Veikkanen
He's our key rider, so it's logical that he gets good results
Arno Wallaard Memorial (195,9 km)
Team : S.Halme, I.Ahtisaari, J.Henttala, A.Jallinoja, J.Kangaskokko, P.Paajanen, J.Toppari
Our team isn't very much at ease on the massive sprints, but continues nonetheless its trip of flat classics. Facing a crowd of belgian and dutch talents, Ilmari Ahtisaari will attempt to make his way up the rankings. We may note against our Finnish former riders of the WorldTour, such as Gaëtan Bille (Verandas Willems) or Coen Vermeltfoort (De Rijke).
Got of the pack with a delay time, Jaakko Toppari doesn't manage to hang the breakaway of the day, while the peloton seemed to leave everyone go ! Those who animate the race start are Jens Vandenbogaerde (3M), Martijn Budding (Rabobank Dev.), Florian Salzinger (Leopard Dev.), Jori Van Steenberghen (Cibel), Sjors Roosen (Jo Piels), Sam Davis (Avanti), Simon Schram (De Rijke), Stephen Leece (Jamis) and Kevin Thome (T.Palm). The weather is inclement over the riders, and Vandenbogaerde (3M) falls badly because of this. The young belgian will succeed anyway to reintegrate the leading group. The pack is totally inert, and the gap rises to great speed, forcing us to maintain the gap via Juha Kangaskokko and Jaakko Toppari . We bring the pack about 3 minutes of the breakaway without condemning too soon. At the entry of the final circuit, favorite teams regain control of the race as the sun is back in the dutch sky. This does not prevent the former Phonak Michael Reihs (Cult Energy) to carry out an attack, making the pack even faster. His attempt will not be in vain, because it brings the number of escapees to 10 in a short time. Sébastien Rosseler (Veranclassic) tries to imitate the danish cyclist but the pack is more vigilant this time. We are already at the start of the last lap, and Jori Van Steenberghen (Cibel) attacks, while his breakaway companions are taken back. Although he has energy to spare, the sprinters trains will vanquish him with 5 terminals to go. As often badly placed, Ilmari Ahtisaari put his teammates in trouble. They do all they can, but local riders are faster. While Joeri Stallaert (Veranclassic) was flowing towards a nice win, Gaëtan Bille (Verandas Willems) exceeds his compatriot and wins the Arno Wallaard Memorial ! The podium is 100% Belgian, with the 3rd place of Kevin Suarez (Differdange). Omnipresent early in the race, Jaakko Toppari takes an encouraging 11th place, with a surprising come back in the last kilometer.
Classification :
1 Gaëtan BILLE (Verandas Willems) in 4h13'06''

You're right, 11th while facing riders with 72 SP is satisfying
Paris - Mantes-en-Yvelines (196,4 km)
Team : J.Veikkanen, S.Halme, J.Henttala, J.Kangaskokko, R.Kivikoski, J.Moykkymaki, S.Pokala, J.Toppari
For our last race in April, we head toward France, where 17 will race between Paris and Mantes-en-Yvelines. Jussi Veikkanen is a favorite, but he will have to watch the actions of riders like Julien El Fares (La Pomme), Miguel Minguez (Euskadi) or Silvio Herklotz (Stölting), which had already given him a hard time on the Istrian Spring Trophy we had won for a second.
Having missed the breakaway on the Arno Wallaard Memorial Jaakko Toppari had at heart to stir the race at the start. Despite some ignition delay, our untenable baroudeur comes back on the 4 riders of the breakaway : Pawel Brylowski (ActiveJet), Jonas Poulsen (C.Watches), Clément Venturini (Cofidis) and Kenny Goossens (Cibel). The peloton resists a time, but eventually released his grip, leaving more than 6 minutes to the 5 leading men. After about 50 km, Clement Saint-Martin (La Pomme) suffered a fall. The french thought he had managed to come back, but a careless mistake throws him on the ground an other time... With a torn jersey, he finally makes his way back in the peloton. Led by La Pomme Marseille , BigMat and Christina Watches , the pack wakes up at the halfway point. The gap suffers as a result, dropping to two meager minutes at the entry of the last quarter of the race. At 3 laps of the line, the race becomes clearer : The fugitives no longer agree, and Jaakko Toppari is left behind from the leading group. And o rbehind, Julien El Fares (La Pomme) attacks ! It will take a lap for others favorites to dare an acceleration. Jussi Veikkanen , Sondre Holst Enger (Sparebanken Sør), Stéphane Rossetto (BigMat), Fortunato Baliani (C.Watches), Silvio Herklotz (Stölting) and Miguel Minguez (Euskadi) catch up El Fares (La Pomme) and Toppari , who will use his remaining strength to protect Veikkanen . At the front, the breakaway holds good despite the incessant attacks of the 4 survivors. Their advantage is still about 50 seconds at the passage of the arch of the last 5 kilometers, and Pawel Brylowski (ActiveJet) tries to anticipate the sprint, in vain. The leaders stare at each other, but their lead is big enough to compete for the win ! At this game, Clément Venturini (Cofidis) was the best, and wins Paris - Mantes with a bike in advance! The podium is completed with Brylowski (ActiveJet) and Jonas Poulsen (C.Watches). Having made the last kilometers at full speed, Jussi Veikkanen only takes the 9th place, 3 rows in front of a heroic Jaakko Toppari , who proves a little more every day that he is a key element of our team. The rest of our team finished the race in the peloton, more than 11 minutes after the winner.
Classification :
1 Clément VENTURINI (Cofidis) in 4h39'07''
2 Pawel BRYLOWSKI (ActiveJet) s.t.
3 Jonas POULSEN (C.Watches) s.t.
4 Kenny GOOSENS (Cibel) s.t.
5 Sondre Holst ENGER (Sparebanken) s.t.
6 Fortunato BALIANI (C.Watches) s.t.
7 Stéphane ROSSETTO (BigMat) s.t.
8 Miguel MINGUEZ (Euskadi) s.t.
9 Jussi VEIKKANEN (Elisa) s.t.
10 Silvio HERKLOTZ (Stölting) s.t.
...
12 Jaakko TOPPARI (Elisa) s.t.
