After a nice 2014 route the Bayern Rundfahrt is back with a "boring" route, where the time trial is going to decide the race most likely. No mountain stage or even very hard hilly stages.

Wat is denn los mit dir, organizers?
Has it been announced yet where the stages are going to take place?

They are all in the North of Bavaria, which explains the lack of climbing.
A bit of Thüringen as well.

Greipel already confirmed his participation and also Degenkolb said, that he wants to be in a good form for this race. Last could eventually take the "hillier" stages without bigger problems.
And expect Bora Argon to be very strong there with Nerz/Barta etc. They said, that this is their win goal and their biggest next to the start at the Tour de France.

Surely they wouldn't send Nerz to a race without climbing? I'm expecting joint leadership between Bennett and Barta. Also sad to see them continue having most stages in unimportant provincial towns whilst avoiding Munich at all costs.

Nerz took part at the presentation at least. Plus it`s the biggest German race and he is the team`s leader.
Barta though has far bigger chances to win it with his time trial skills, true. |

To be honest the stages aren't completely crap. Surely 4/5 hilly stages (+1 hilly TT) isn't the best way to draw a race, and I miss a mountain stage as well, without mentioning that in a stage race there should usually be a sprinters' stage (to be honest I don't care about them, though ) but the hilly stages are all nice and the tt so too. Also, I can't understand why you say that those aren't hard, but probably what misleads me is the layout that they used to present the stage profiles? Some of those hills look like mountains
The only thing that I would have changed might be the major hills distance from the finish, indeed it looks like that they will face the toughest hills at the beginning of the stages, and as they ride more kilometers the hills get gradually easier. The best example is stage 2, that I would remove completely, leaving room to a mountainous stage. Stage 5 is total crap, on the other hand, it would have been better to draw a flat stage, then. I'd have put that flat stage as first stage and the hypotetical mountainous stage as last stage, leaving unchanged the order of the other stages. But it's just my very personal opinion and I don't know almost at all German/Bavarian geography so let alone that I don't know if all which I suggested is possible

100-200m is not that hilly. It's pretty much a flat race. I don't mind cause to me thats what the Bayern Rundfahrt is, a flat race with a few hills to provide opportuniy and then an ITT. Or i could be bias because it's a route that suits Thomas ans Swift and they've done well here in the past

Hopefully he's aiming for Lombardia rather than the Worlds. But it's pretty much a standard Puriot schedule. Wonder how much he (or Katusha) is being paid to race Dubai

So quite interesting for him. |

Yep stage 3 goes through the Hajar Mountains but that isn't much with a few punchy climbs leading to Hatta Dam which apparently pitches @ 17%

Regarding the Bayern Rundfahrt, it's said that they are going to commemorate 25 years since the unification of Germany. That's why the course looks so, they are going to ride along the former German-German border. Also they are going to visit Mödlareuth town which was split with a concrete wall just like Berlin.

"Ferrari's complex tax evasion scheme required teams to cooperate and create fake employment contracts for riders prepared by Ferrari.
Around 20 teams suspected between 2008 and 2011: Liquigas, Lampre, Colnago, Geox, Androni, Katusha, Quick Step, Farnese Vini, Aqua&Sapone, Astana & Katusha (off course), Radioshack, Vacansoleii, ISD, CSF, LPR, Diquigiovanni, Tinkoff (LOL), Rabobank, Gerolsteiner, Milram "
Quote from this thread. Will indeed² get very interesting. |

Is it Tinkoff's old team (Tinkoff Credit Systems) or Tinkoff-Saxo?

Why isn't it good? People being caught sounds excellent to me. We need to get out of the mindset that doping allegations are bad things.
I think there are two really noteworthy things here. Firstly, Ferrari... Seriously? You're that stupid Vino? He is the public enemy number one in this sport and you bring him along to your training camp? So stupid.
Secondly, I refuse to believe that Ferrari did not meet with Nibali. Nibali has allegedly worked with him in the PAST. The only reason I can see the Gazzetta choosing to leave it out is because it would risk annoying the Italian cycling public, who see him as their darling.
