After a long talk back and forth with Andrew, Shayne, Neil and Matt, we finally arrived at my provisional race program! I see a great deal to the start of Paris - Roubaix and the Tour de France, which are my two biggest goals this season. However, I will also try in the other races!
Tour of Oman 11/02 - 16/02
Yes. I will start the season in the Middle East. It is going to be tough and warm ride, down there! I am the leader and I will have a strong team with me. My form is probably not the best at this time of the season, but I will try to go for a good result. It will be my first race with my new team, so I am looking forward to it!
Paris - Nice 03/03 - 10/03
Then I turn the nose towards Europe, in a race where I have good experience - Paris - Nice! In 2012 where I also won the Tour de France, I also won "The Race to the Sun". My form is coming up at this point, where I begin preparations for Paris - Roubaix. Therefore, we have to see what comes out, in terms of results!
E3 Prijs Vlaanderen - Harelbeke 22/03
So we start on cobblestones! E3 Prijs Vlaanderen will be the first cobble race I ride this year, I go to Belgium without the high hopes of a victory. I think I would be able to do a good job, but I am properly keeping myself in the background, when I probably still missing the last kilos to ride with the best! However, if the opportunity presents itself, of course I will take it!
Ronde van Vlaanderen 31/03
The next race in Belgium is one of the greatest classics on the calendar! Ronde van Vlaanderen is the biggest race in Belgium, and, like Paris - Roubaix, Tour de France etc. it has a very special atmosphere that can only be found in the biggest races. I am really looking forward to this race, and hope for the best. Paris - Roubaix suits me better than the Ronde van Vlaanderen, but I should still be able to make a result.
Scheldeprijs 03/04
I will stay in Belgium, and look forward to the next race - Schelderprijs. We are a class down to 1.HC, it does not make the resistance harder, the only difference is that there are so many cobblestones, and you do not get as many points. However, it is important to keep the legs started to Paris - Roubaix.
Paris - Roubaix 07/04
So here we are! Paris - Roubaix! Hell of the North! My first big goal of the season. I would go for the win, but it is of course difficult with riders like Cancellara and Boonen. So far, my form has been upward, and I would ideally peaks exactly this day! I will do everything to win this race, which I personally think is the second largest race after Le Tour!
Tour de Romandie 23/04 - 28/04
I will hold a few weeks break before I return in Tour de Romandie. In 2012, I won two stages and GC of the race, so I hope to repeat it this year! I will try to find the stage race legs up again after Roubaix, and get ready to Tour of California and Tour de France.
Tour of California 12/05 - 19/05
My next big goal on the calendar is Tour of California. I always loved to ride in the United States. There is a fantastic atmosphere over there, and I love it. Since the Armstrong case, the mood of American cycling has been pressed, but it is by loosening up now! In addition, I hope to win their biggest race!
Critérium du Dauphiné 02/06 - 09/06
The preparations for the Tour de France is at its max! In addition, like in 2012 I will try to win the Critérium du Dauphiné in preparation for the Tour de France. In 2012 this method with riding Paris-Nice, the Tour de Romandie and the Critérium du Dauphiné before Le Tour, was working fine. Let us hope it will do again!
National Championship TT 23/06
When you ride for an Australian team, it is not as often you are allowed to ride in your home country, as in a British team! Therefore, I will of course be on the starting ramp for the British Championships in time trial!
National Championship RR 29/06
And of course I will be present at the start line in the road race! It would be great to be able to ride in the British Champion jersey in the Tour de France, and I think especially there is a big chance in the time trial, but there is also a good chance in road race.
Tour de France 30/06 - 22/06
The greatest bike race on earth! Tour de France! 21 days in the French countryside, millions of fans on the road and on television. Everything is just bigger and better for this race! If I had been on Sky, I would not even have run this race, because a prima donna Froome would not have me. He has done everything to make it look like I am the bad guy, but I know he's better than me, and was ready to sacrifice me to help him to the win. But it was not good enough for Froome, and that’s why there is written GreenEDGE on my chest today!
Clásica san Sebastián 27/07
I need some rest after the Tour de France and I will just take it easy in Clásica San Sebastián. It is a race just to be implemented from my side of. Probably I will help one of the others to a good result.
Post Danmark Rundt 31/07 - 05/08
I have never raced the Tour of Denmark before, but I have heard that Denmark is an upcoming cycling nation. Copenhagen is one of the cities where it is normal to take the bike to work. How some things I like, and that is why I chose to go to Denmark. Simon would also really like to go there. he has previously won the race when he ran for Sky.
Eneco Tour 12/08 - 18/08
Also, Holland is a so-called bike country where there are bike paths almost all over the cities. And that’s also why I have chosen to ride the Eneco Tour, like Post Danmark Rundt. It is a race I should win, there are two time trials, and the rest of the stages are flat with little cobblestone. I start the preparing’s for the World Cup and the Tour of Britain here.
Tour of Britain 15/09 - 22/09
I am back to my homeland, where another big goal of mine is! Tour of Britain! That was my only stage race win last year, and even though I did not had the best year, I was in good shape at the time, and I hope I can be in the same form as last year.
Il Lombardia 06/10
My last race this season I Il Lombardia. I hope one day to be able to write myself into the history books and make a spectacular record! Like "Double World Champion" or "Historical Grand Slam" The last one is winning Milan - San Remo, Tour of Flanders, Paris - Roubaix, Liege - Bastogne - Liege and Il Lombardia during his career. Therefore, I will try in Lombardy, but after a long season, but you can't expect too much.
That is all for now. See you in the Middle East, where I am going to ride Tour of Oman! Cannot wait to get back on the road, in my Orica Shirt! This is going to be something very special!

Real nice calendar. I'm curious whether Bradley can perform both in Roubaix and in the Tour. I can see him riding top 5 in both events but I can't see him winning either, but that's up to him to prove me wrong
Another great update. Though I must warn him that the Scheldeprijs can be a tricky race, so staying upright should be his main priority a few days before Roubaix! |

I hope to see him win, but I don't think he is good enough.
But he has a chance if the other favourites are looking at each other, or Crash or something like that!
It is a part of cycling to crash but, we hope that Wiggins is staying on the bike.
And Schelderprijs is just to get some km in the legs before PR!

This is great stuff. Since I´m a Wiggo fan, I´d absolutely love to see him riding to Paris in yellow. However, this is going to be a tough task unless he can play out his strength on the flat.
I´m looking forward to the next update.

It is going to be hard, but he will definetly try!
And he can for sure take some time on the other favourites on the cobbles!
