I think thats a pretty dumb thing to say, of course the one-rider stories have the same point, just like the team stories have the same point, becoming the best (team or rider). Also i think that most of the stories (or atleast the ones i have seen) are all unique and is written in different styles. Also in my own story ive been trying to be original and unique so it isnt just the same swim as always. The main reason for not doing a team story is because, atleast for what i think, is that it will take too long compared to a one-rider story. In a one-rider story you only have to cover the races your rider is in, while in team stories you have to ride about every race (or just the major once atleast), which causes the one-rider stories to go for more seasons than the team stories. Also the one-rider story gives an insight in the riders mind, which you dont have in a team story.

It's not dumb and it's not my problem if you don't understand me properly. I didn't mean that way and I definitely didn't mean that everyone should stop writing them. Actually opposite, I am considering doing one in near future.
I wanted to say that the points of newer one-rider stories are same. Basically all of them has the young rider who's writing its blog and is starting from scratch without literally anything. He, after only few season, becomes the beast and best cyclist in the world. I once again don't have anything against this type of stories, just that they all became one-dimensional and more or less the same. I get your point on doing a one-rider story and not team-story. That's completely legit and fine, as I know how painful it is to ride full season with a team, especially ProTour team.
Kudos to the guys who are creative & writing something new, although that's almost impossible nowdays with huge amount of stories (and ideas) already being "used".

what do you expect, it's currently the most populair form of story. otherwise these type of stories wouldn't have be story of the month five times in a row.
I actually stopped following story section, when it got flooded with one rider stories at some point in recent two years. Sorry guys like MRE and Ian, you are talented writers, but you stories does not have too much to do with actual PCM, your last co-story or Comeback seem like a novel, rather than a PCM story.

I'm in doubt in which GT Rolland will go for a podium... TDF and the Giro are objectives for stage wins, but I want to get a good result on, at least one, GT. Any suggestions?

No, this is a discussion about the stories around. The topic where you can write about your team without a story is the General Career Discussion thread.
As for your question, you probably have a better chance for a good GC at the Giro, more realistic would be the Tour though. You could change your goal to the mountain classification, maybe that gives you other options as well.

But there is no way for me to get it with cash either. No store I know stock PCM. You should be lucky in that sense!
