Tough day today for my team. I was almost sure my sprinters should be able to sprint for the top10 today, if not for the win. Especially keeping in mind that stage 3 and today were the only possibilities for the sprinters, that FDJ/Demare had messed up the stage 3 sprint and that the classics-like terrain towards the end today actually suits all 3 of my sprinters reasonably well. Well, that was all wasted, and I'm not happy.
This means I fell from 8th to 10th overall, but I continue to lead this league at least.
Anyway, enough of this hilly-stage business, bring on the mountains!
I'm pretty sure you must have won the league. Damn it! You coast along on my wheel for the entire race and then sprint past me up to the line? I disapprove.

It's now confirmed, baseballlover312 takes the last stage overall across Velogames as well as the bonus round, with end-of-race GC points and so on. With this he moves all the way up to an amazing 2nd overall across Velogames, which means he leapfrogs me in our internal league (it still stings).
I'm still fairly satisfied with how things went in general, I won all my leagues except this one and I finished in 9th place overall across Velogames. Pretty sweet and probably the last time I manage that feat.
Congratz as well to emre99, who managed to grab the last podium spot in our league.

While we're talking about curious and funny things, I just have to point out the player that was 65th overall. He called his team "JohnGadretLoveBoat", but it seems he didn't even believe enough in John Gadret to actually include him in the team.

Hey, 4th in the league! I'll take it. I went with the Froome-Contador and "other guys" strategy and it almost paid off. I took Talansky and Kelderman out of my original lineup to do it, so in retrospect probably the same point total, I could have just upgraded elsewhere. Now I have to decide if I'm going to employ the same strategy for le tour.
