Weird result from some riders, but I guess for the most part the front group was a selection of GC favourites. Just glad that Ji was able to make it into the group, as it seems fairly random.

Haha, called it on Twitter
Vaitkus is an awesome rider, and Vanoverschelde isn't... Glad he got dropped actually

Good for you that the team did not wait for Vanoverschelde. |

Decent sprint from Bar, exactly what I brought him here for, so that decision already paid off. He could've been slightly better positioned or rather have kept his good position instead of slacking off a bit in between some of the sprint prep screenshots.
Nerz where he should've been in the run-in to yesterday's stage as well
At least another ranking point in 8th, and some opponents losing time isn't bad either.
The next stage is worth A LOT of points, so please get your shit together just like today again! "Best from the rest" would still be 7th.

Another top result by Marquez and Zico, although no yellow before the mountain. Only hope that he has brilliant daily form and can stay with Uran as long as he can. So far so good though.

Enjoying this due to the fact that none of the teams I now appear to be fighting for 5th are doing too well. Glad Privatbank got a win, will quieten fjhoekie a bit I hope
Great reporting roturn |

Not going too good so far. At least Dyachenko and Mat Senan are clinging to top 50 before the cruel mountain to come. Let's hope for big big selection in the mountains and that Compal could climb the rankings. |

Samwel gave me a scare then. A decent overall still possible then, looking forward to the Green Mountain stage. |

Nice work by my team again. My 8 riders finished in the first group which is always good... And what about Kupfernagel?? More constant is impossible, three stages with three fourth places..
Now let's go for the decisive stage

And the peloton probably sitted up after the favourites attacked... Well, at least Sequera get's that 24th in the GC currently. |

So you want to tell me Hutarovich took 1'08 longer to climb Green Mountain than Efimkin...
At least the slow speed means that Herklotz finished very well and is ahead of Samwel and De la Fuente in the GC
On the other hand, Nerz again attacked too late. No reason why he shouldn't be as fast as Cataldo, Karpets or Pozzo.
11th in the GC is nearly good, but he could easily be four positions further up.

Awesome ride by Sinelobov! May save the rather miserable race for us if he can somehow hold on to that 15th GC. Disappointed by Dyachenko yet again, but maybe he can attack at a later stage now that he's out of contention.
Great report Roturn and thanks for the very fast updates! |

Fucking hell, Samwel doesn't even try? What's the point in paying him 300k if he won't do anything on a pure mountain stage... 29th overall is just shocking, he isn't that unsimilar to Marquez. 16 race days down the drain now.
At least Kimeli managed a top five here to salvage something. |

Causing the splits on the front on stage 3 and almost rounding it off with another win, I think we missed Clarke in the final sprint to help Hutarovich more. A very good Tour of Oman for us, a stage win, 2nd place, 10th place, points jersey for 4 stages and leaders jersey for 3 stages. Should get some decent points in the rankings, which is so important
Great reports Roturn.

Wow, that went better than expected. Marquez rode that race perfectly, following right moves and then with the perfect attack in the last km. With the yellow I hope he can survive tomorrow tough stage.
Love the pace of the race, thanks Roturn.

From a high to a low... What the fuck was this!?
Guess the AI got fucked up for both me and Kenya, seeing we had a rider in the break, not allowing our real leaders to attack...
I need points from races like this to stay up, and this isn't helping...

Another good stage for my team, Karpets to show he still has what it takes .. Ségio Sousa with optimal performance, but expected more from Rui Vinhas and João Cabreira.
for now, we have two 3rd places, three 4th places, one top10, best team, KoM jersey with Marquez, 4th at points jersey and 4th at U25 jersey..
what more can I ask? Just keep everything until the end of the race and I can get close to winning nearly 300 points. Over 50 PPRD

When to the Cobble Races start?
With such a dismal start to the season AMEXpc looks to be already stressed with relegation worries. The cobble season is awaited with hope for redemption.

@Mhaley: Well Bahir Dar will be coming soon once Mallorca is started and these two races (Oman and South Africa) are finished.
Horrible performance from Uran - who positioned brilliantly last time we went up here in the ProTour. The only reason I can have for this is blocking at key moments.
@Froomedog - I see your other guy is doing great in South Africa so not the worst situation - clearly at the moment Ban Nasser great Samwel awful.
