Not a bad first stage. Nice to see the team getting into the break. Smit did a good job and someday far from now he'll be an excellent breakaway specialist when maxed (75Hil/81Ftr)... far from now
Rangel did well to salvage a top 10 from a chaotic sprint. However, I think he can win if he gets the right wheel.
Congrats to CSC on a great win! Anton Martin chose the best wheel and had the power to finish it off!
And thanks Tsmoha for the report speed and quality!

I liked the first stage better. My sprint train was was back on this stage.
Btw, how come Anton Martin is ranking in the young rider jersey when he's already 26?

Successful day at the office when T. Newton gets a mention for being helpful, we win a sprint checkpoint, finish 5th on the day, and keep the yellow jersey. Interesting to see how the team handles the sprint points on stage 3. Come on Anton Martin keep yellow for as long as possible!

First report up.
Note #1: I forgot to change the sponsorkit, so you may wonder why there's some Aussie-stuff to be seen somewhere
Note #2: There had been issues with the correct YOUNG-RIDER classification here. Please be aware, that those rankings will only be 100% correct in the final stages. So riders born in 1988 may be appear in the U25-rankings now, but won't be eligible for those rankings eventually. Sorry for that.

With a whole new team it takes some time to get the trains right, but this was promising

Some points is a good haul for my ACC challenged sprinter on a pan flat stage. Bodes well for the harder ones |

Another good stage keeping Samwel out of trouble. Not nice completely no-showing these sprint finishes, I hope we can make up the wasted race days on the tougher days.
Unpredictable sprints here make good viewing for the neutral. Nice wins for Antonio Martin and Bennett so far. |

Aaand that was a carbon copy of the last stage... Same profile, got a rider in the break without scoring at the intermediate sprints, and Angarita scores us a point. Wouldn't mind if that continues tomorrow.

1 PPRD will cause to end up last in the rankings for sure.

Well yes but the fact that this is a C1 race makes me happy about how the team's going - I would be disappointed with a point a day in New Zealand for instance

As a CT team last year I managed 10 pprd here due to some luck, so it's not like it's not possible |

Ah yes but we're a bottom-of-the-table CT team

Ah, didn't notice, sorry.
Isn't there points given for young leader though, or is that already thought of?

Yes, I think you're right. We will definitely fix all single stage-exports as well, so don't worry about that Just too "lazy" to update all written reports and exports yet.

Firstly, nice reports.
Initially I thought the first few flat stages weren't going to be exciting, but I was quite surprised to be completely honest. Tuulhangai overperformed in my opinion, snagging a top 20 in Stage 1 and a top 10 in stage 2! Maybe it's the weak sprinting competition, but nonetheless a great effort. Also nice to see an attempt to get into the breakaway on the second stage. Feillu is still safe in terms of time, so nothing to complain about.
Also, T.Newton was mentioned!

Big thanks to jdog for making this AMAZING userbar!

Yehhh, Bennett 3rd race day of the year, and his season is effectively a success whatever now happens. Really pleased to have capitalised on the more open field, and with the what turns out to be vital signing of Ayoune.
Hopefully now Stage 3 is Anton Martin 1st and Bennett 2nd. Don't really want the race lead to distract from supporting Berhane for the rest of the race!

Disappointing sprint from Rangel. I've got at least a top 10 in mind for him. I can see him doing really well in a stage with a bit of climbs though.
Nice win for Bennet and Jaguar

Rizza finishes 20th. He gets beaten by.... Pedraza.
On the bright side, Pedraza keeps himself out of trouble. |

3 days and 3 great breakaways. Yates putting himself into contention for rider of race (it's early i know but 3rd after three flat days!) at the moment. He is really loving life with B3B apparently. It just makes me more excited for when he gets good stats.
Another great sprint finish, really close and Bennett really showing some class. Bit disappointed in Anton Martin having worked early on to get some more bonuses.

Sonnery keeping the points trickling in, needs to work on his positioning though as Rizza isn't a huge amount better. Now for the terrain that suits my team better. |
