Maksimov again
But really, what is my team thinking lately? Maksimov is hopeless on stages like this, and if he were my lead sprinter, why on earth did Cardoso go for himself... More importantly, Why did Kononenko work!?
Dumbest AI award please?

Well that just about sums up our season, starting well and not finishing it off. Very unlucky for Martinez and co.
Hopefully something can still be salvaged here, maybe a stage win even. Otherwise I can see us falling out of the top ten in the rankings.
Be thankful you ever start well! We can barely get that far...
Also what happened to Mihaylov? He was 10th after stage 2 and is now off the rankings, crash?

AMEX's Jake Keough pulls off his 2nd stage win of the season. Stage 4's hilly terrain will be a real test for AMEX's climbers. Matthew Busche will be our best and should be able to be around for te finish. youngsters Jan Dieteren and Mahar Hasanoui will be there to assist and to gain experience.
AMEX would love to have Keough hold the leaders jersey for a 2nd day, but that is very unlikely as the hills look to more selective than Keough can manage.
Dieteren will be looking to get into the days break. That would keep Busche fresher longer and if the teams miscalculate you never know what can happen. Hasnaoui will not last to the end but should be a good protector for Busche during the long day.
Sebright just wants to avoid a time drop so he can TT on stage 5.
Getting to the Stage 4 break is critical to helping Keough and Busche.

1. Let me apologise for the Youth ranks. I wasn't copying the tables correctly, I'll edit those right away.
2. I also apologise for not having a pic of Martinez. Didn't notice that incident until after the group finished.
3. Tbh I hadn't even noticed that Mihaylov was missing, it's embarrassing. I can't be sure but I would have to conclude he was involved in the crash and was forced to abandon since the no. of riders has been reduced by one.
I'll try to keep my eyes open from now on. Sorry for all the inconvenience you guys.

Meh, another stage-win would have been quite important.. so we will most likely end up with 22 points (if I'm calculating correctly) here in Utah.. Okay, a stage-win wouldn't have made it much better But if we will relegate because of 5 points, I will fire both Ford and Olman immediately
Thanks for the quality report(s), Gustav! I will certainly enjoy the two remaining stages, even when Oz hasn't much "man power" left.

It's really, really nice to see Larsson perform when he finally gets to participate in a race that suits him. Must admit I have wondered about some of Vattenfall's decisions when it comes to his race plan this season, but at least he proves his abilities here. Hope he can hold on!
Just a shame the manager isn't around anymore to enjoy the success. |

Decent TT there, Ghdamsi pulls off a nice result that probably influences my decision on his contract for him. Surprising that he beat both Martinez and Rijntjes there.
Now for the tough stages. Hoping Martinez is let go with his big GC defict and can do something. |

Mihaylov would have been good there... Gyurov holding third for now is nice but i'd rather have some more breaks and maybe a stage win

Craig Lewis has snuck into the top 10 Home ground advantage paying off. Hoping he can keep it up. Rodas didn't fare too badly: 1 minute down on Larrson. Not that bad considering he's not a TTer.
I really hope these guys don't do anything stupid in the next hilly stage...

Da fuck Silva?
Roman very good. 13th in the GC and with the half of people ahead worst climbers, top 5 is achievable. |

Having faith in Kononenko might actually pay off... Mestre would've lost big on this TT and the coming hill stage.
Fonte and Athanasiades did decent.

Do not expect much of this stage and this came to be confirmed. Silvestre in 5th and Reis in 7th are good ratings shame that will not keep until the end. Now see how far can Cabreira recover in the mountains

1 more day passed without any problem for the team, now for the decisive day ... Will we get something from this race?? Unfortunately do not think so

Having a rider like Silvestre as KoM leader for 5 days is quite a big achievement if you ask me

Sure but unfortunately will lose that classification in the next stage .. I meant only the finals standings

Disappointing! Stage 5 suited us very well but we were too passive. This tour is going to be one of our worst performances of the season.

Okay. Not such a bad stage. No result, but we're happy not to lose anything! Hope Lewis can keep his good standing overall and holding thumbs for Rodas in tomorrow's stage. If all goes well he could finish top 5

To be fair, it is one of your only bad performances of the season...
This has been a great race. Really intense and it looks like there is going to be a surprise winner too!
