Very close already. I hope Gavazzi can take one of the remaining stages that are 'flat'.

Despite not having any aspirations in this race, begins to be concerned that my riders do not even try to escape ... We have an obligation to at least try, but on the positive side Cabeira continues without lose time for big guys, when they get to the mountain stages that can be important for a good final classification...
I am glad this is being very positive tour for Prio with 2 wins in 3 stages and Plaza in good shape ..

Great result for Belletti, getting 3rd in an HC race. Plus with Rohregger still hanging around we still have hope for a decent GC result as well

Lo Cicero is ruining every chance I got to get a decent GC place here, due to him being the leader and none stages actually fit to him. That actually makes us avoiding the breakaway also
Note to self: You're an idiot. |

YES YES YES! That's what I'm taking about. A season goal complete and our second yellow jersey of the season. What a fight we are putting up late in season not to get relegated. Keep it going!
Edit: Oh, and is there any way we can skip stage 5? Costa doesn't really like mountains...

I'd like to skip mountains too . But I should really beat you to avoid relegation. Too bad our hard work wasn't rewarded today.
Let's hope the mountains aren't too damaging for Reus.

Very good race so far for us wich looks to be a good points haul in the end if Silva/Vrecer duo finish in top 10/15. |

Finally we reached the mountains, we spend the first steps without great loss but also low-key, now it's time to appear.
This is being the tour of Prio, and good win from Costa

Yeah great Tour so far for us. 4 stages and our lowest ranks was 2nd! That's got to be some kind of a record. Anyway congrats Mre on your much desired victory. Even though it was surprising to see Costa beat Ventoso in the final dash to the line it was a much deserved triumph from him.
Great stage this was. And what a report. It's great to have someone like roturn analysing the team's strategies throughout the race.
Bring on the mountains now!

So you mean to tell me you didn't tell Ventoso to slow up to give Costa the win...

Portugese riders and teams with focus on them being great in their home race. That is good, congrats Mresuperstar and Gustavovskiy!

rather strange Tactica their opponents. But the less positive is the same little difference that could make for most cyclists. We need the next mountain stage is very selective or run the risk of not scoring here.

Let's just say Ventoso wasn't in the mood that day

Thanks, I really like to make this the most important race of my team's calendar. It's great to see that this focus actually pays off.
Nice to get another 2nd place and to recover the yellow jersey as well. Congrats to Cisco, that was a big victory! And congratulations on that report as well roturn. Seriously it's getting addictive to get to read your pieces

Always a bit annoying to see the AI throwing away a potential gap by celebrating early, but still obviously a great day!
Shame he couldn't get more of a gap over Costa and a few other weaker climbers. The GC looks good for now, but I fear Caruso may even drop out of the top 5 due to the TT if the queen stage can't open big gaps either.

Good result for us here. Reus still 14th in GC only losing 30 odd seconds. Everything still to play for.
And now 3 more chances for Gavazzi, he has to get one eventually. At least the team showed strong again today, if they can keep it up for gavazzi we will get a stage hopefully.

Costa did what he could and better then I excepted. The goal is now to get that yellow jersey back before the final mountain stage and try to regain it back again on the time trial. It will be tough, but I think it's doable after what took place here on stage 5.

Still, these are much better results from Caruso compared to his first half of the season. It seems that he is becoming stronger every day.

Vrecer climbing into 12th in the GC is good, but it would be better if the mountain stage would be selective enough so he climbs into the top 10. |

Well it looks like the final TT will not be very selective as most of the top 10 in the GC after stage 6 are all decent tt guys with the Plaza and Kritskiy both strong tt'ers.
AMEX's punchuer Sylvan Chavanel has pushed his way into 10th on the GC standings and if he can withstand the climbs on the final mountain stage he could keep his top ten slot till the end.
