optimal result for a team. did not expect to be fighting for overall, it will be hard to do better but I would be satisfied with this result

Well this has been a strange race, but very good Mora and Criel. The points jersey is still in reach and the top 10 of the GC as well. |

Whoa, didn't see that split coming. It definitely made this stage a good one for Minnard.
While reading it, I was a bit annoyed that my team let those attackers go. But in hindsight it was actually pretty smart. If we had used our energy on chasing a bunch of domestiques, we might have been vulnerable to attacks from the real favorites in the finale. Also, those attackers took away the bonus seconds that could've gotten guys like Vorganov, Soto Pereira, Eibegger, Ilias, Chaoufi closer to Minnard. So it was actually strange that only Kenya Airways was interested in reeling them back in.
Looking forward to the next three stages. I have a feeling there might be spectacle in at least one of them.

We really need a better result here than eighth, so hopefully Chaoufi can put in a good performance on one of the harder stages, like stage 7 for example.
Not been a good race so far except for Schinker's podium on stage three. That should hopefully improve though. |

Another good sprint by Minnard; extending the lead. These seconds might turn out to be crucial in the next stage, because there are some riders in the pack who, on paper, are much stronger than Marco. Ilias, Chaoufi and Vorganov should be able to hurt him on a serious sequence of hills. I hope the team will be able to pull him through.

Two stages quite positive for the team despite the loss of the second place ... Dennis deserved the win after all that effort, the podium by Silvestre is the confirmation of an optimal season by it .. We can only hope for putting up thr third place and try to lead others to more favorable positions ... As for the victory seems to me delivered to Minnard

Well, that was unlucky. Stage win seems gone. Oh well, Mora hold for that top 10. |

Well, not the worst race. I'll take 10th and 11th for shore. Now to see if Ciocan/Eefting are injured after the fall. |

Fucks sake, thought Chaoufi had that. He was the strongest rider but still couldn't hold onto that gap. Terrible race for us, the best puncheur should do better than eighth overall.
I would have settled for second, as Gazelle have to win every race they enter. It's ManGame law apparently. Minnaard steals another 'surprise win', while his team takes every classification. Congrats once again to DubbelDekker, he is obviously an evil genius.

Still waiting for our first GC win...
But I happily take 2nd here, Vorganov is a great rider to have. And with Kononenko and Fonte helping him he's on of the top puncheurs in the division, which is good

Some really great reports here nico.
Bennett hasnt done much, but ultimately the route has a few too many hills. Janvier Hadi has done a good job at giving the jersey some air time.

First of all, nico, great report and screenshots! They made this a nerve-wrecking gem of a stage.
Hats off to Chaoufi and Ilias. Their attacks were very strong and forced my team to the limit.
When Chaoufi distanced us 1'24 on the penultimate climb and Minnard even got left behind by a bunch of chasers (which looked to include Soto Pereira, Ilias, Eibegger, Vorganov and Westra) in the descent, I was getting worried. Luckily Marco still had Kriek, Daspuntsag and Shaekov to fix the situation.
Then that 1 vs 19 ride in the valley killed Chaoufi. Had the chasers been broken up into smaller groups, Tarik might've won.
The Turlough was a blast; attacks all over the place. But in the end silent assassin Minnard was the smartest again, saving his energy until the perfect moment to strike.

That seventh stage was actually very exciting, good thing the AI didn't screw that one up. Thanks for the appreciation, I'll have the last stage up tomorrow

Yayy a stage win and the first for Honkisz, and to go with Bazhkou and Honkisz both in the Top 10, been the best race of the season for us thus far, riders really come to form fairly late in the season, hopefully these results will help us in the rankings providing we can hold onto our Top 10 places.
Well done to Minard and his team too great win!
