Tough day for some teams with the DNF.
Should be happy that's an ITT and not a TTT
Wang did okay here, but rather depressing to see Tamayo Martinez fall off the peloton that early in the stage. We'll just have to hope that Wang sticks to his top 30 in GC. A point is a point
I think Tamayo Martinez just waited with Lo Cicero. Doesn't make much sense, but that's what appeared to happen

Nice to see Ilias attacking - makes me happy a top 35 is not out of the question for him. A top 3 finish in the KoM would also be excellent.
And we managed not to lose a rider to the time limit...success!

Great team effort trying to put some pressure on after seeing guys like Rogers suffering a lot! Too bad that Zabriskie lost a bit of time in the end, but I'll take this - Top 5 is a must now, if he manages to stay out of trouble!

Wow! Speechless what a win that was! I was worried bringing him here just for the one stage, but it's really paid off. If he can hold on to about a top 20 and the kom I'll be very happy.
It looks like the favorites will be a close fight in the tt too

Awessome! Lijke with 2 HC stage wins to his name in his first season is already performing above expectations. Perfect stage win.

Lo Cicero needs to rename himself Lol Cicero, just a calamity there from Armavia.
In the meantime - is the only way for a break to win thanks to a garbled chase from the pack or a hilly stage that no-one is interested in? We are seeing the full range of AI today!
Great result from HTC there and a bit of a rescue for Bpost.

Lo Cicero results might do with the AI possibly. 84 sprinting is too good to get no results. |

Really awesome riding on stage 2. Great to see a hilly stage playing out like it should for once. And Meiji winning doesn't exactly make it less cool!
Will definitely be tough to beat Boom from now on. Zabriskie should still step up on the podium I think, but the win might be out of reach.
And great win for Van der Lijke. A real gem you've got there, Alakagom.

He has definitely disappointed me, but I realize that I have to take some of the blame myself, for not having strong enough leadouts, and to have sent him to races clearly not fitting his skills regarding hills.
The worst thing though; if I were looking to sell him after the season, I recall he would go for a ridiculous low price, due to his non-existing point scoring. So I might actually gamble and keep him in (possibly) what's going to be CT, and try raise his market value.
Great win by HTC though. Trying to be happy on their behalf

Great win for HTC.
And I'm glad that Zingle is recouping some points for us here. He has had a decent season with some surprising results (5th at TDU for instance).

Congrats to HTC, they continue the attacking mode like we know them from Div2.
Popkov on 12th is decent, good that he is always near the front looking for gain there, shame he was not able to hold Schreurs wheel to earn a few seconds. But he was empty in the end.

This race turned into a complete disaster now. Nothing left to gain here for us. The points we could have got here will be sorely missed and we will need a big result somewhere else to avoid relegation.
Congratz Alakagom, I should have chased van der Lijke harder :/

2nd behind Zabriskie is no shame. I can live with that even though Boom obviously had not the best day as he should have been able to beat someone like Kirienka, which would have meant the race lead then.
In the end I must be very happy that the 7 riders ahead of him in this TT already lost that much time in the hilly stage. |

Expected better from Costa, but Barrio surprisingly in 26th makes up for it.

Yeh, was surprising to see Boom go below-par. Considering he was probably above-par on Stage 2.
Barrio couldnt really end up any lower after how the hill stage went

Rogers, meeeh... I may have send him to some wrong races, but he definitely should have been able to perform here. Losing 25+ minutes on Zabriskie is unacceptable..
At least Visconti did rather well. So far..
