Sorry for the mindless plug, but i'd be overjoyed if some of you (Or even just a single person) could please follow the link below! It's just a small write-up about a band i'm currently in, including a song we've recently recorded. The more plays/reviews, the better! Thanks in advance https://www.triplejunearthed.com.au/Th...au/TheAFEX
Well it was Glastonbury Festival weekend just gone, as I do every Glastonbury, sit and watch all the live coverage on the BBC and as soon as I heard this band, I fell in love with them. There from Iceland, popular over here in the UK with their album charting at number 3.
I just bought a Roland Juno-Gi, a keyboard which comes with a 8-track recorder. I've been playing the piano/keyboard for almost 1 year now.
I tried out the recording "studio" with a test improvisation of some blues. I've uploaded it to mediafire. Only it's too bad I forgot to turn off the drum computer in the mastering process
Well, for people who likes Artic Monkeys, their new album AM is already online.
Even tough some of the musics are not the regular Monkeys, I still think it's pretty good, with some very good songs (Do I wanna Know? and R U Mine? are awesome). Definetelly recommend it.
I love their 4-chord song. They're so good at it I prefer the live versions though.
Anyway, Pearl jam's new album is out now (2 say wait still in the US) and it's pretty good. Definitely worth the wait.

in Holland we have a countdown music list that ends at the year change. I was wondering if other countries have something similiar as this? (well technically other countries radio channels)
here we usually have Bohemian Rhapsody at number 1 and Hotel California at 2
Top 10 last year for those who care
We have a top 100 countdown on our national holiday in January of the 100 best songs from the previous year, voted on by listeners.
Interesting to see that hotel california is there. I don't even know if was in the top 100 here.
They do an all time top 100 once every ten years or so, our last one was:
Spoiler
1. Nirvana - Smells like teen spirit
2. Rage Against the Machine - Killing in the name
3. Hallelujah - Jeff Buckley
4. Joy Division - Love will tear us apart
5. Radiohead - Paranoid Android
6. Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody
7. Jeff Buckley - Last goodbye
8. Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Under the bridge
9. Foo Fighters - Everlong
10. Led Zeppelin - Stairway to heaven.
Wish you were here came in at 16th here, as well as Radiohead having 3 songs in the top 20. Michael Jackson, the Beatles, and Jimi Hendrix just managed to scrape inside the top 30.
I thought it was really good, but then I saw Rick Astley and couldn't take your list serious anymore.
Don't really care for U2 and Avicii and the last one, but overall it is not a bad list. (most lists usually have way to many recent songs that are just crap. )
1: Serious Request will start tonight: 3 Dutch DJs lock themselves in a glass house for a week, and there will be non-stop music for that week on 3FM. You can request a song by donating, or just donate. Also many other things organised around it. The idea is to raise as much money as possible for charity. As it is in Leeuwarden, 30 minutes with the train from my home, I'll probably go there for a couple of hours. You can listen right here by picking 3FM as channel.
2: Might just as well post my Top2000 list as well.
didn't really care about Serious Request when it was in Leiden (60 minutes by bike) I'm not a real charity person ()
also see some nice songs in your list (Hotel California, Final Countdown, Africa, Poison, Eye of The Tiger) will listen to the rest later this week and comment some more>
edit: listen to them all and really like almost all of them (Chuck Berry to Go Back to the Zoo weren't really my liking) also liked that you included the Playstation Plus Add music (Feel the Love )

The band Wolfmother are playing a free show about 20 minutes from where I live in s small bar and I have absolutely no way of getting there. The last time I saw them was with AC/DC about 4 years ago with tens of thousands of people. I'm so disappointed i'm going to miss this.
