Actually I would avoid narrow roads at all.
In especially the finish shouldn`t be narrow in my opinion.
Problem is that the game can`t really handle them and it won`T be nice for the gameplay.
Other than that your stages are looking very nice indeed. |

No. I didn't realise it was part of a tour. I wanted to add it as a stage of the Tour de France but Yeh

This.
If there's one place you should avoid narrow roads, it's the finish. Screws up the gameplay completely.

sutty: Thanks - it's a really nice part of the country (even though it rains all the time there - bit like Wales )
I know exactly what you mean |

I'll take on board the narrow road advice from the future, thanks
After a loooong period of being rather busy I've finally found the time to complete stage 2
Typical rolling Lake District scenery with town of Keswick in the foreground
The day's major mid-race obstacle, the Honister Pass, has to be climbed twice
The finish on Hardknott Pass. The horrible kick up to 24% at the end means attacks stick and there is an astonishing 15 second gap between Moser (celebrating) and the Euskaltel rider in second! Peloton going under the Flamme Rouge is 3 minutes behind
I'll try and do stage 3 fairly soon and then finally get round to the Provence Tour

Stage 3 up now, didn't take long
A flat[ter] stage rounds this little fantasy tour off, but there are enough short, steep bumps in the second half of the stage to make it interesting
Kirkstone Pass is the only obstacle of note on the parcours in this stage, but it comes within the first 10kms so won't affect what will most likely be a bunch sprint at the end
The descent from Whinlatter Pass
Eddy Bos gets a perfect leadout from Bernie Eisel to take the stage
I'll try and get round to that elusive Provence Tour though it might take me a while. Thoughts are formulating in my head for a Giro variant as well, but I think I'll wait until I've made some more stages before I really start thinking about it
One last [stupid] question, I need to package the stages into a .rar file (Correct?) so the recommended tool seems to be WinRar - but there's a 30 day limit on the free trial. But I've heard somewhere that it lasts indefinitely - is this true or do you have to buy it?

You can continue using it past the 30 day trial.

Thanks I thought it was the case but I wanted to check
I think, if all has gone well, you can now download the Tour of the Lake District here.

Hello again everyone! Found some time to make some more stages so (in the roundabout way that I do everything) I've decided to make the 5th stage of my fantasy Tour de Provence.
Spent quite a lot of time on the graphics to see what I could do, with lots of IBs, unfortunately the slopes aren't what I'd like them to be - the Col d'Izoard at the top is about 17%!!
It still looks nice though, imho.
The town of Saint-Apollinaire. This course goes over the two third-category climbs featured in this year's Tour de France MTT.
The riders climb the Cote du Puys with the Lac de Serre-Poncon in the background
On the slopes of the Izoard
The descent begins…
...into Briancon
Froome takes a solo win in front of Valverde and Schleck
Any tips/advice welcome, apart from the slopes which I know aren't the best
