They came from behind to beat the Penguins tonight, in decent fashion, winning 4-2.. it was 2-0
In the PCM Prediction game only 2 people said Jets.. rest were for the Pens.

If you switch the goalies around in that game, Pens win 5-2.

@Alesle - Think this is pretty funny, but I have noticed that you NEVER pick the Penguins in the prediction game.. and they have won all but 1 of them ...

Vokoun is old generation, his best days are over. Pavelec is great and upcoming superstar. Vokoun is on the unknown land this year, with such a strong team in front of him. He is used to 40 shots per game and shite teammates, same as Pavelec is his whole career.
Anyway pleased to see recent run of Capitals, it seems they have woked up after horrible start and are closing to playoff spots.Go Ovie!
Red Wings doing good also, my two beloved teams.

Iggy
Pittsburgh are really stocking up on players and apparently still have over 4mil in cap space. Historically teams that make lots of additions at the deadline dont do well in the playoffs but I somehow feel this will be different. What a crazy lineup they are gonna have.
Crosby, Kunitz, Dupuis
Neal, Malkin, Iginla
Morrow, Sutter, Kennedy

They sure are making a statement.
I've never been a fan of cobbling together a team with deadline deals. There really isn't enough time to develop a team chemistry. |

Really nice trade, i dont have much love for Flames, unlike Penguins, so i am fairly happy with Pens stocking up. I think they will be up there in the Finals this year, they are amazing, although 50% of that is Crosby being fit and playing. I hope for Capitals to slip into playoffs.
In West, Blackhawks are great and my beloved Wings also on the playoff spots, looking good.

Penguins win streak is also very impressive, hopefully that continues similar to the Heat in the NBA had one.

Okay, I'm not a fan of hockey (don't know why, I tried really hard to like it!), so maybe someone here can shine a little light for me.
In the Norwegian newspapers Mats Zuccarello Aasen is always hailed as something huge. There are several articles every time he might get called up to NY Rangers again, but it seems that it always ends with him being called up and... sent straight back to the farmer team.
Mats Zuccarello Aasen; shite or decent?
There's a fine line between "psychotherapist" and "psycho the rapist"

Decent. If he was the size of a hockey player and not a horse racing jockey, he'd probably be even better.

Are there any more fans of Jagr in here? It is incredible what is this man is doing in his 41 years, he is a star in every team he plays for and he immediately lifts the other players around him.
I have no doubts he is one of the top10(maybe five) best players to ever play the game. And best czech sportsman ever.
Imagine how great his numbers would be, if he was not going to play in KHL for three years. He would be probably nr.4 in points behind Gretzky, Messier and G.Howe already.

Zuccarello is a good asset. His specialty however is shootouts- not exactly useful in the playoffs.
Going to the Ranger game tonight at MSG. Playing the Panthers. We need the wins from now on. |

Zuccarello was awesome when he played for "my team" Modo Hockey, but it´s cleary harder in NHL then in the Swedish league

Easy win for the Rangers. Might have been the best game I've ever seen live. A 6-1 blowout.
3 goals in the last 4 mintues. How many times has that been done before?
But the Islanders won too, so there wasn't much worth from it. |

Goal for the Rangers makes it 1-0 versus the Devils.
Right now I really want us to get Capitals- therefore being 6th seed. But that isunlikkely as Ottawa still has two games left. I presume we'll get 7th.
Strange situation for Ottawa, they could finish anywhere from 5th to 8th.
That is kind of why the nhl standing system is weird. It makes a team like the capitals be above the Canadiens. Therefore, you'd rather be the 6th seed over the 5th seed. I know it's meant to make divisions hold value, but i is still quite corrupt in that sense.
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy
