The Stelvio? Will he be aiming at the Giro?
Personally, I think he'll be aiming for the Tour, as this is where he raced in 2011 and would have raced in 2012, if he didn't get married at that time.
It's just a random fan art picture putting him at the wheel of Coppi which I thought was nice and worth sharing |

Tony Martin looses a 1km race against a race horse, while Contador beats Hesjedal and Nibali in a race over the same distance. In Dubai - organiser of a new stage race in spring 2014.
Recently, they finished a 68km cycling circuit in the desert. Contador hopes they will have built a 1km mountain by the time the race starts. No words yet about a 200 km indoor stage, nor about an airco-helicopter hovering above the peloton.

I thought you could only have two sponsors. Isn't that why they had to drop Trek from the name last year?
Anyway, that name completely ridiculous. I fail to understand how they don't see it themselves...

Of course. Because Radioshack - Trek would have sounded so much worse.

Isn't Radioshack Nissan Trek three sponsors as well? |

Also wont Leopard Continental have to change its name as you cant have same sponsor on two teams? Or is that only as main sponsor?

The 2012 name was Radioshack-Nissan, not Radioshack-Nissan-Trek. Iirc, they wanted to have all three in the name - but they had to remove one due to some rule.

Oh right, always called them Radioshack Nissan-Trek. My bad |

Yeah, same thing with Garmin - Sharp - Barricuda.
Froomedog: Yeah, me too. Everyone always said RSNT, which would include it.

It's only illegal to have the same sponsor on two teams in the same race. Which is why there can be two rabo teams, a Katusha and an Itera-Katusha, etc.

Olano and his team have realized that 10 uphill finishes last year was stupid....so this year we'll have 11.
The Naranco is back after years, along with the Collada de La Gallina that debuted last year. The Anglirú on stage 20.
The new climbs for this year are the mountain finishes at Peñas Blancas (16kms with sections at 14%) and Haza Llana (8kms with sections at 22%).
Full route unveiled saturday, a week from today

Has someone told them they've room left for 10 more uphill finishes ?
Perhaps they should consider renaming the race Spanish Walls Climbing Championship ? |

To be fair, walls are more interesting than sprints.

To be fair, this is why the Vuelta has been better than the Tour in recent year's. |

0 km __________/ 160 km
Yeah, that's very exciting, because all the excitement is located on the only significant part of the stage, that 7km @ 15 % climb with 25 % bits at the end of the stage, the same profile as the day before and the day after.
I thought Grand Tours (or G.C.) were about something more diverse, but I might have old-fashioned tastes... |

If you want to have a race like the 2012 Tour, wich was boring to say at least, just watching Sky dominating through a hole race, that's way more fun that watching Contador, Valverde and J-Ro fighting for a Vuelta win. |

It's always good to see people with spirit of self-improvement. They created the worst GT route I remember, and were they happy with that? Of course not, so they are preparing a worse one for this year. Truly an example for the youth.

Coward racing is a plague, but maybe some point system can be blamed for that...
You're mixing the route and the contenders. Sky had virtually no competition in France, whereas there were 3 (4 until Froome collapsed) contenders whose levels were quite close to each other, which made it uncertain who'd be the winner in Madrid. |

I would prefer more interesting stages but replacing those stages with flat ones would not make the race better.

Are they going to keep adding more Rodriguez-favoured stages each year until he actually manages to win the race?
