I would like to have a top 10 finish on the prologue. It fits in nicely with the kind of rider I am.

Today is an extremely busy day for me, so let's say the deadline for the stage 1 tactics is somewhere tonight. The prologue will probably take place somewhere tomorrow, noon - afternoon.
If orders are not received, I will not pay too much attention to the rider, just ride them casually. If the Mole's orders are not sent in, there will be no sabotage.
Still need orders from: Fast Joe & The Giant
That's it, see you later today or maybe tomorrow! Hope you're having a good time! Tactic-discussion looks good already |

I have the mountain and TT stages covered along with my main helpers I will be set. Mate could also give it a shot on a stage. I'm sure we could get plenty of stages. Lets go team.

6 of us are pretty good at TT/PRL so I think the Team classification will be no worries on stage 1

Stage 1 - Preview
At the eve of the first challenge, everybody is anxious to see what'll happen in the prologue. The first race should not present too many troubles and it will be hard to catch the Mole so early in this individual effort. But mistrust is already in the air and it won't be long before the pointing fingers. The first points will be earned after this stage, when the first vote will divide the team already.
A flat profile, a nice warm-up for some, already an objective for others. Who of the team has a chance here? And what about the rest of the race?
Big Chief is an excellent climber, and a more than decent time trialist. He shouldn't lose much time to experts like Froome, Wiggins and Contador in the TT kilometers. In the mountains, he is tough, and it seems he's looking for the overall victory. Or is he?
Hungry Hunyak is Chief's right hand. He's a great climber and can also ride a TT bike. He's most probably the back-up man and the team counts on his abilities to both help Big Chief and finish high-up himself, for the team classification award! His recuperation should be a major advantage. Big Chief will need him, but what if he can't trust him?
The Goat is a pure climber, who might go looking for a stage win. He's the most probable man to complete the Team Classification. He's famous for his long solos, but is he looking out for the team, or is he looking for personal glory?
Raging Bull is an iron-hard sprinter. Most experts put him right up there with Cavendish, Kittel, Goss and Greipel. The Bull will be an important part of the team for the 3 stage wins objective. With 2 flat finishes, he will give it 110% to take the win home, or will he?
The Smurf is Raging Bull's lead-out man. They have to trust each other endlessly. Despite his length, he's a strong rider and extremely fast. He can launch Raging Bull right to the win, but he can also deprive him of it, easily...
The Giant is the other end of the team, literally. He's the final part of the lead-out train. He rides extremely hard on flat road and knows his way around a TT bike. But the question is: will he use his strength for or against the team?
The Wild One is an attacker, born ready for long, hard days. His main strength is his strong will, which has been compared to that of a Jedi. He'll be the main man to look for the breakaway objective. But everyone will watch him skeptically as he tries to attack: is he really trying? Will the pressure be too much for him if he's pure of heart?
Fast Joe has two stages where he can shine. With his super-strong time trial legs, he's destined to perform well in both time trials. The prologue might be a tad short for him, but in the long time trial to Bourg-en-Bresse, all eyes will be turned on him. But many will be thinking: "Does the sweat on him look real, is he really trying?"
Some of these answers might already be answered in tomorrow's stage. Then again, all that mistrust might break a few honest riders. Keep tuned, and we'll see you tomorrow! |

I like the little rider breakdown. a nice little read
question: if you are the mole... do you have to sabotage a stage?

The Mole's task is to sabotage the objectives set, and do it without getting unmasked. So much depends on the objectives. It's probably not necessary/possible to sabotage all stages, but sabotage can be done on every stage.
The Mole has to think about a tactic, too. Sabotage the right things at the right time without looking suspicious. |

Glad to hear that, FreitasPCM.
I'm still thinking about how I'd do a whole season, though. Do it as a season ingame or just race per race. Because to keep it fair qua points to be earned, everyone should get as much race days.
Or I might make a season of my own, selecting several races and creating (cobbled) stage races and play in "rounds", each stage race being a round. But then not everyone would race in every round. Still thinking about it. If everyone has any ideas, feel free to post or PM them!
But right now I'm thinking do a real season (career mode) with 30 riders or so, and try to give everyone equal race days. Then I'd split the season into rounds. TDF would be 1 round, E3 + GW + RVV + PR + something else could be another round. Every round should have the same riders, though. Mostly a round would be a stage race or a collection of one day races.

Stage 1
Welcome to the first stage of this race, also the first challenge of The Mole. A prologue is an excellent way to see every rider's individual effort. Some are here to score points, others to warm up. But only one is here looking for trouble...
With 5.8km, this is quite short. Time differences will be limited and the GC will not be won or lost here. First one up for Team The Mole:
Alexandros Ypritsky - The Goat
The Goat is not known for his time trial skills. It isn't at all surprising that he rides the worst time of the team. He spent his energy well and should come into action when the road starts a-rising.
Johan Veenhof - Raging Bull
The Raging Bull is not a strong time trialist, but he is expected to do quite decent on a prologue. In the end, he will only lose 24 seconds to the winner.
Gary Sutton - The Wild One
The Wild One is clearly having an off-day. Despite his bad legs, which clearly could've used a better warm-up, he managed to spend his energy well and today's legs are definitely not tomorrow's legs.
Joe Smith - Fast Joe
Fast Joe has the most pressure on his shoulders for today. He's half expected to earn the first team victory.
Although the competition is hard, Joe Smith rides an extremely fast prologue. He finishes on a provisional 4th place and will finish 10th overall. Not the win some were looking for, but nevertheless a promising effort for the longer time trial later on in this race.
Phil Hoyle - The Giant
A real treat to watch. The Giant puts quite some force into his legs. He's only 10 seconds slower than Fast Joe.
Maté Gömböcz - Hungry Hunyak
The Hungry Hunyak sees this prologue as a warm up. Obviously, this rider has his priorities straightened out and is waiting for the mountain stages to really make a difference.
Marcos Ferreira - The Smurf
The Smurf, barely looking over his steering wheel, does only seconds better than our Hungry Hunyak. He took a slow start, but finished very fast. It might've been tactic, but then again, he might have had some trouble finding a rhythm at first.
Mitch Thompson - Big Chief
The final one to leave the station, the main man, Big Chief. His way of cycling reminds us of Christopher Froome, let's hope his abilities are the same.
He does an excellent job for the GC by finishing 16th in this prologue.
